    Looks great angelicbond! I agree about the navy working well. I wore my navy Harrington for years before I grabbed a black alternative. I grew to really like the navy with that outfit. -{

The weather was nice out today, so I decided to wear my Quantum Haiti outfit. And since I had it on I thought I would take some photos for the board :)

This outfit is the definition of "Budget Bond", the whole look coming in at under €100!

    Full_Size_Render_2.jpg

    Full_Size_Render.jpg

The jacket was a lucky find on holiday in Barcelona back in February. It is a H&M David Beckham I spotted in the window of the shop which was €30. It seems to be sold out on their website (http://www2.hm.com/en_gb/productpage.0340195001.html) but can be found on eBay (for example here: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mens-Xl-H-M-David-Beckham-Jacket-Brand-New-Navy-/231959177561?hash=item3601d82959:g:PI0AAOSwn8FXSYQB)

The navy polo is the same as I have for my Moroccan outfit was was from Primark for €7.

The chinos are also from Primark and were €10. They also had them in white, but I don't really do white trousers, and these also go with other Bond outfits!

The shoes were the most expensive part of the outfit and are brown chukkas from Topman, on sale for €50.

Nice! Can I share those in the gallery?

Thanks angelicbond! Photos are added to the gallery on the site. Nobody else wants to share pics of them wearing their new jackets from Daniel/Royale Filmwear?

I definitely wouldn't call them a budget alternative...but R.M. Williams new Gibson boots are pretty excellent alternatives to the J Crew Kenton's. http://www.rmwilliams.com.au/gibson/BE31S_52FGWT40.html

    R_M_Williams_Gibson_Boot.jpg

Correct number of eyelets and hooks as well as similar colour and definitely a similar overall look. The sole isn't identical, but it still looks really good. Retails for $530 AUD (approx. $385 USD).

Just thought I'd stick this one on here in a blatant attempt to inspire more pics from everyone:

Obviously the leather bag isn't too BC-like, but it's what I have and I thought it worked well ...

    I really love your "4 Ways to Wear" series. One of the pleasures for me of collecting these items is integrating them into my existing wardrobe. -{ -{ -{

A few more pictures here of my bond inspired wardrobe! I don't know about you guys but I just didn't realise how many clothes I've actually got! I love nice clothes and blend my bond inspired pieces with a lot of other items I pick up. As usual canoe2 feel free to use any pics you want.
Spectre final sequence outfit with n peal charcoal mock turtle neck, the Zara blue suede jacket ( excellent jacket), some reiss drake black flecked jeans, and some delicious junction boots ( these replaced the Sanders items which wore very quickly).

    IMG_20160602_195106.jpg

Reiss jacket, not that budget at £400, but top quality and way more budget than the dior altausee coat, Dents gloves, reiss beanie and soft grey cable knit roll neck jumper from John Lewis.

    IMG_20160602_195026.jpg

Marks and Spencer funnel neck jacket, MB roll neck jumper, French connection super luxe wool trousers.
    IMG_20160602_194955.jpg

Prada cardigan, marks and Spencer double cuff shirt ( though I often wear a white linen shirt with this outfit) french connection slim fit light cotton jeans.....more chukka boots! Tom ford markos and le planet ocean.
    IMG_20160602_194911.jpg

French connection ink polo, sunspel riviera, armani eco wash brushed jeans, movie store qos sunglasses, also persol 714 folders, Le aqua terra. Often add a black Ben Sherman Harrington to this outfit.
    IMG_20160602_194808.jpg

French connection jacket with next shooter jumper and the often forgotten black neck scarf. I wear black chinos and some high oxblood brogue boots with this.
    IMG_20160602_194836.jpg

As MrIceGuy said, here's my man shelf... And yup I do use that cutthroat.....and did before skyfall :)
    IMG_20160602_195826.jpg

I still have a load more outfits I could do, but I'm going to put my mind to some mix and match outfits I think. I often wear my acne trousers with a khaki jumper and pea coat with dark qos style jeans etc that sort of thing.

    Very nice!

    Two things I noticed:

    1) Didn't know M&S had done two different "Sölden" jackets, I have this one

    2) Is that a bristle brush among all this luxurious shaving kit? Do you prefer it and if so, why?

I bought the jacket from Marks and Spencer thus last winter, I didnt see the one you have or I would probably have gone for it.
My shaving brush is silver tipped badger hair, normally kept on upside down on a stand, but that got broken last week.

This second M&S jacket only came out in February or March, I think. It's quite good although no wool and everything is navy blue (no charcoal).

Ah ok, that's why I've not spotted it, interesting it's classed as a sweatshirt also? I'm quite happy with the one I've got, it's warm enough for most winter days very light and is very dark blue and charcoal arms and back it also looks good with jeans and chinos. I may look at the one you've got in the near future, but to be honest I've got as many jackets as suede chukka boots!

New Post! Father's Day Gifts for the Bond fan:

    http://www.iconicalternatives.com/2016/06/03/fathers-day-gifts-for-the-bond-fan/

This isn't the typical "ties, belts, shirts" bullet point post, so I'd love to hear what you guys think of the approach.

Chriscoop: Your pics are now live in the Gallery! Thanks!

Cheverian and IA-SteveB: I'm glad you're enjoying those posts. I am planning to make it a regular feature and do one once a month. I'm a little worried they could get repetitive so I want to leave some time between each one. Appreciate the feedback!

Just bought this from eBay. A good Budget alternative to the Spectre Mexico Tom Ford O'Connor suit?

Only $89 (sans waistcoat and sans shipping fee.)

Will take photos when it arrives!

Hey guys, I'm going to be a pain here.... Where did we land on.. The best alternative for the BC Morocco belt? Iconicalternatives does an AMAZUNG job. (Seriously... So well done. Half my wardrobe is from his/your suggestions) but I think a few have popped up since then. Maybe even in some other threads.
Also, I've been off on some of the sizing of some of the alternatives I've purchased. Which I'll soon be selling. The jcpenny is lay, the alternative to the rmwilliams kangaroo belt. The jacksthreads shawl collar cardigan. Those will be listed shortly!

    Sorry to be a pain.

Other than the peak lapels, it looks like a great alternative. Keen to see what the fit/quality is like.

    Thanks for the kind words!

    Re: the BC belt

The problem I found with getting a good alternative wasn't necessarily the strap. A lot of the options I posted had a weave that comes close to the BC, with the almost "chevron" looking pattern in the braiding. In particular, I think the Entourage Good Vibe and the second Cole Haan I listed come closest to matching the pattern. Now having seen pics of the original, I also think those two are good color matches.

The problem is the buckle. There are just not that many affordable belts with rectangular open frame/center bar buckles, let alone ones that have the correct belt weave and leather end.

If it was me, I would buy the Entourage for $21 and then buy a buckle like this for $6:

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/BASIC-METAL-JEAN-BELT-BUCKLE-CENTER-PRONG-ANTIQUE-SILVER-NEW-/182039597318

    s-l500.jpg

If you search ebay/Amazon/Etsy/Google for "silver rectangular frame center bar belt buckle" you should be able to find something. Then I'd take the belt and the new buckle to a shoe repair place and ask them to change the buckles. I can't imagine that would cost more than $10 or $15 bucks. It'll be more work, but you should be able to get a pretty good SA BC match for under $40 if you do it that way.

Curious to know why you're selling your R.W. Williams belt alternative. Which one do you go for?

Wow. I'm really tempted. I'm just suspicious when its so reasonably priced. Does anyone know anything about the brand?

The suit LOOKS nice but made of "cotton blend". Probably not durable in the least and will look like a bag after a couple wears.
Shame really because it captures the look!
