Where were you when the London 2012 Summer Olympics started?

It is a year now when the 2012 Summer Olympics in London started on 7/27/2012, 9pm GMT 0.

It was on tape delay in the US at 7:30pm on NBC, the James Bond portion of the opening ceremony is my favorite, followed by Mr. Bean's acting in an orchestra. Too bad that the NBC edited out the London 7/7 memorial portion. So the NBC coverage of the Olympics sucks.

    I were spending the evening with a friend of mine. The highlight of the evening was of course the Bond and the Queen segment. I shouted just out of pure excitment and happines when i watched that!
    It was a great evening indeed.

    I was actually watching it at my house alone while waiting to go out with friends to a local carnival. I am going to this same carnival tomorrow night :)

    My friend I was carpooling with came over right around the Bond segment to which I responded "Dude dude dude dude look! look! look! look!"

    We de-camped to Casa de colle in Tuscany ,hired a huge villa with pool
    couldn't stand to be in London while the Olympics were on (mind you cant stand to be in London anyway) :)) but funny enough we still watched it on Italian tv 8-)
    By the way, did I tell you, I was "Mad"?

    A friend of mine has a small party in his apartment and the coverage was on TV while we ate, dank and passed comment. Of course, most of the guests at the party knew I was a huge Bond fan so I was expected to review the Bond segment, which I loved.

    At the end of the ceremony, we all went out onto his balcony where we watched the fireworks "live" because the apartment was not far from the Olympic Park.

    Can't believe that the London Olympics was 4 years ago! The Rio Olympics is only a week away!

    The Bond segment in the London opening ceremony was the best!
