    I just read that the finale of the next Star Wars movie is planned to be filmed on Trolltunga or Preikestolen in Norway. Sadly history is repeating itself and the authorities are trying to chase them off. :#

    One of the dragons sightseeing Preikestolen in the sixth season trailer for Game of Thrones:

    On the news this morning, was a story of a man who died from a virus caught from his bagpipes !
    They said, all wind instruments should be really cleaned well. So basically the same advice for
    Anyone who regularly puts their lips round something that gets blown. ;)

    It's real in the sense it's really from the GoT season 6 trailer.

    Major parts of Transformers 4 was also planned to be filmed on these locations, but as usual the tax insentives were to meager.
    Until last year film companies were given no tax help for filming in Norway.
    Now tax insentives enough for ONE movie is given each year :s

    Today I bought a Daily Express purely to pass the time while waiting to pick up Bride Of Barbel from her gainful employment. Apart from the crossword page (which I have to admit I enjoyed), what a vile load of codswallop it was. Selective reporting, biased editorials, you name it. Next time it's a different newspaper for me.

    You'd get more sense from the daily star. I don't read any paper I think they all have their own agenda.

    It used to be the daily sport for me, it had some great Political pages. ;)
    I haven't bought a paper in years, as it's all on line these days.

    I doubt it as they both have the same owner. I agree they are vile and inaccurate UKIP supporters. I read The Times myself, a proper newspaper of record.

    That just goes to show what I know about the gutter press. Like tp I tend to read the news online from a news app on my phone, it uses domestic and international sources. I generally catch up over breakfast each morning.

    I love BBC radio 4 for news and comedy. Political shows like " any questions" followed by
    "Any answers" information and entertaining. -{

    Snap, me too. And there is some excellent comedy too ("I'm Sorry, I Haven't A Clue", "The Now Show", etc).

    And yes, I too read my phone for the news in the mornings.

    I've also discovered "breaking the news" from radio Scotland on the BBC radio player.
    The unbelievable truth on BBC radio 4 is another funny but educational show. Rather
    Like QI.

    Whenever I drive long distance - I always listen to radio 4. I've even come to like Gardeners question time, and I don't even have a garden! :))

    The comedy shows at 6.30 are always good too -{

    Things looks bleak for Santa and indeed Christmas after 322 reindeer were killed by lightning last Friday on the Hardangervidda mountain platou :o

    That's incredible! Have they said how it happened? I'm assuming that the electricity was conducted through the wet ground? Pretty scary.

    Years ago I had a mate who's daughter was hit by lightning and was very lucky to survive.

    I'm guessing they could have died from shock, as many animals freak out with thunder
    and lighting ?
