Agree with that - the scene in Rome with Waltz at the table and the introduction of Hinx is another highlight for me.

Indeed. If I were to rewrite it it would have a lot more of Ms Bellucci and less of the slightly irritating age inappropriate girl child. The Bond Swann relationship is creepy to me.

There is much to like about Shatterfang's ideas. But I have some critizism:

-No Monica Bellucci? I would rather have her role expanded.

    - A MI6 branch dressed in a strong signal colour seems silly today.

    - How can MI6 hunt Blofeld from the start of the movie if they don't know about him or SPECTRE? Let them track an unnamed crimelord of a shadowy organisation instead, and only later in the movie find out who he is.

    - While Bond and Madeline shooting their way out of Blofeld's lair was a weak scene, but having 007 suddely disarm some nuke seems random and out of the blue.

    - Having Blofeld escape in the next film is well within the suspension of disbelief required in an average Bond movie.

    On the plus side:

    - I'd love a snowmobile chase in a bond movie!

    - The new plot structure takes care of some problems

    - Having the MI6 (something to do for Moneypenny and Tanner) use the tracking nanos is a great devise for drama and humour.

    News roundup for September, 2016:

    September 2016
-In the latest set of tabloid nonsense, The Sun creates a falsified MGM "shortlist" of Bond #7s, notably Tom Hiddleston, Michael Fassbender, Charlie Hunnam, Jamie Bell, and famed Bond candidate Idris Elba, who, at this stage, is too old to take the reigns from Craig. Other stories put British actors Tom Hughes (30) and James Norton (31) into the ring
-The rumour of Daniel Craig being offered millions to return resurfaces after gossip site Radar Online, who supposedly have a proven track record, reports that Craig has been offered $150 million to film two more consecutive Bond films back to back
-The site also claims that Sony Pictures have re-secured distribution rights and are to be announcing it 'soon'
-In an interview from Zeit-Magazin, Christoph Waltz says that he was dissatisfied with his performance in Spectre and comments that his chemistry with Sam Mendes wasn't all that he had hoped. In addition, he also states that there are no plans for him to return as of yet, but implies that he would do a better job if given the opportunity
-Daniel Craig will talk with Nicholas Schmidle at the New Yorker Festival on October 7th in an event tentatively called "Beyond Bond," which will have him face the inevitable questions regarding his uncertain future with the franchise
-Léa Seydoux announces that she is expecting her first child, and likely won't work for months following the birth
-Former composer David Arnold expresses his interest in scoring another Bond film if asked back
-Ralph Fiennes weighs in on Bond 25, saying that he expects it to be a tonal shift from Mendes' films following his departure, but reaffirms the fact that he knows nothing about the forthcoming Bond film
-Susanne Bier once again shoots down rumours that she has been approached to direct Bond 25, while rumours of Guy Ritchie's involvement resurface
-Bond veteran Callum McDougall tells BBC that Craig is "absolutely, without question" EON Productions' first choice, possibly implying that he still hasn't made the decision that has been up in the air for nearly a year

Just caught on about the whole Beyond Bond thing! Finally! I hope we'll have some clarification on whether or not he returns! The event being called "Beyond Bond" is a bit concerning though...

Why is is concerning? Daniel Craig has always been more than just James Bond. I doubt this event will provide any answers as to whether or not he'll step down from being James Bond. And I can promise you that whoever came up with the title of the event does not have a clue Daniel Craig's future as Bond. The person who came up with the title may even think that Idris Elba has been cast as the next Bond (a common belief from people I talk to in New York).

Oh I know Craig has always been more than just Bond. I'm just saying the title could also imply "Beyond" as in "life after Bond". Good point on them coming up with the name probably not having a clue whatsoever though! I guess i'm just so eager to get some clarity now! It's pretty much been 1 year since SP was released now!

The lack of news is driving me crazy.

I may aswell believe the following:
Bond 25 - The Property Of A Lady
Bond 26 - The Garden Of Death

    Both starring Daniel Craig.

I may aswell, right? Because nobody knows any different at this stage do they?

    Damn I need news.

I feel the same. The Property of a Lady would be a good title to spin off a story using elements from original YOLT novel and begin with the death of Madeleine and return of Bond to active service. I would also like to see Monica Bellucci's character return as someone who again aids Bond. It would also be a good excuse to get Felix Leiter back into the fray as she was being protected by the CIA. As far as the Garden of Death is concerned, the title says it all. It would be the ultimate reckoning between Bond and Blofeld and maybe an opportunity for a commando style raid at the end. It would be a nice touch to see Bond reunited with some of his old SBS comrades.

Would prefer Shatterhand and tie up the whole Blofeld saga in one final Craig film, use a lot of YOLT from novel Blofeld hiding out in a castle( after escaping from prison) and using the name Shatterhand. Bond is working in private security and firm he is working for is recruited by Blofeld/Shatterhand to form part of a private army of mercenarys. Swann could be mentioned like Tiffany Case in FRWL novel the romance ended after a few months, no need to kill her. Bond informs M of Blofeld whereabouts and is recalled to service and tasked with bringing Blofeld to justice and the pair have finale battle in The garden of death in Blofeld castle! There you go Babs and DC script all done for you, pop the cheque in the post ASAP please :))

I like your idea, but I so prefer The Garden Of Death as a title.

Shatterhand, whilst ok, just sounds same-old for me. Also, three one-word S titles in a row? That would bug me.

No need for perfectly good titles like Shatterhand, Property of a Lady and The Garden of Death to be used on a Craig film.

Also, I wouldn't buy that Bond returns to the service to get Blofeld... Not enough happened in SP to warrant that kind of hatred for Bond. And I don't want to see any more personal nonsense. It's plagued the Craig era, and it's not what James Bond is about.

Yeah, no. That just wouldn't work, and it especially wouldn't work for some of the reasons Marc says above. A movie like that just wouldn't fit in with Bond.

And JB working private security? Blofeld forming a quasi-army? Nah, that's just to fiction-y for Bond, let alone Craig's Bond.

have Blofeld/Shatterhand kill Swann then he would be a bit peeved :v The whole of Craig's tenure has had the personnel aspect to it, so may as we'll finish it on the same note and tie up the Blofeld story, clear the decks so to speak for Bond 26 and 007 number7 and have absolutely none of the personnel stuff in it ( which I completely dislike btw)

I rather those titles and certain ideas (i.e. The Garden of Death) be applied to a film and era more worthy. And with SPECTRE ending the way it did, it's a perfect way to say goodbye to Craig.

+1. I get the sense that even the most ardent fans of the reboot are yelling 'enough already'

    An element of it.

I think it's run its course, and a couple of high profile fails in the men in tights tent pole movies may have put the nail in the coffin. I truly hope so, but agree that it's a trope deployed in a number of franchise movies. I hope that Bond can lead rather than follow, otherwise what's next? A lost dog, or favourite teacher narrative? Even if it is inevitable I hope it can be done with more aplomb than was the case in Spectre where it was so clumsy that it was laughable. It also predates the reboot as it was a feature of the Brosnan era. You could argue that my all time favourite OHMSS had it in spades. So maybe it is a question of how well it's integrated into the story arc and how authentic it feels.

    Take it I'm not going to get paid then :)) I was completely joking about script and storyline, the last thing I want is DC in Bond 25( those of you that love him fair play -{ ) Blofeld or Spectre( SP was such a missed opportunity to do something great with IF's characters) the only thing in my post I was serious about was the clear deck for the next guy (ahem Tom Hughes) and each new film a stand alone mission also on wish list Idris Elba as a modern Mr Big type villian -{

I just want a decent script and story. Some clever ideas with more emphasis on bond as an agent and person not delving into his past, that well is surely dry now. I'd like the next movie to start with bond interrogating an agent of spectre ( as I think spectre will be again used) and making an exciting escape, laying out the SANCTIONED mission from the intelligence he's got.. I've always wanted to see the garden of death on film so why not?

I just hope they get a decent director, someone like Martin Campbell again as i think that Mendes did skyfall and spectre a serious injustice.

I enjoy both SF and SP but I know what you mean, Mendes gave us his film and disregarded all that had come before, there should have been a proper bond mission after qos before we got to Sf, SP without the whole personal stuff site better in terms of Bonds character before Sf

It does but so does daf in a way, I'm thinking low key darkly lit and quite intense, Bond being really quite nasty in a controlled way, gleaning a small but important piece of info before some serious henchmen turn up, Bond initiates a daring escape with some elements of lightness then credits then to London m's office to receive a mission based on what he's learnt and that would be most of m's involvement in the film.

I would like something completely different at start of Bond25, have Bond lead a commando raid on some terrorist hideout, never been done before a commando raid at the start and a great way to introduce new 007. Agree after credits back to London quick well done from M on the raid and sent on next mission, completely unrelated to Pts and that's the last we see of M and Moneypenny.

I hate how SP ends though. Blofeld in prison? DC's bond needs to kill Blofeld, not get him arrested. Also, I'm not a fan of the personal stuff either, but it's DC's thing, so may aswell finish what they started with him before they move onto the next bond.

If they don't want to 'lose' Blofeld, then can always reboot again.
