    :)) I wonder if senor polo is scratching his head about all the sudden interest in this knife?
    Still might be worth contacting nieto direct, I'll fire off an email and report back.

    I emailed them for confirmation on my order and asked that if there was jimping to cancel my order if it hasn't shipped. Will see what happens.

    Worst case scenario I have another folding knife to replace one of my cheap ones.

    I got a whole set from Aceros, small, medium and large. Only the small one had the jimping.

    I think I said on 14th September that the knife was a Nieto (possibly) Junior. Do I get a prize?

    Indeed you do! It would seem you should get a triple prize as that appears to also have been your first post and the post to restart this thread. Not bad at all -{

    Salmon

    Most newcomers join this site either wanting to sell a load of crap, get DCs autograph or live out some other fantasy. Some even go as far as wearing dayglo green footwear, trying to make stoopid eggs or trying to make friends with the great Dell Deaton. Others just quietly sit on the sidelines for years before saying anything.

    You, on the other hand, with your first post have identified something the rest of us have been trying to do for years. Congratulations, you surely have distinguised yourself. I think you do deserve a prize. I am away for three weeks now but drop me your address by PM and I have one spare and now very rare AJB007 lapel pin which I will gladly send you FOC in recognition of your endeavour. {[]

    PS Welcome to AJB and may this be the beginning of a long and fruitful association.

    Got mine. Many Thanks again for the post.

    I ordered via http://www.cuchilleriaalbacete.com/co-en-linea-junior.html

    Within 5 days delivered.

    Ps. I did not made a special request. Their website showed jibbing. However, guess that picture was the old version.
    this never happened to the other fellow

    Did you use aceros de Hispania? There actual premises is a great place to visit up in the hills with a great taverna quite close and a massive array of knives and swords....if your into that kind of thing of course.....and you find yourself in the area :)

    Yep, I used aceros de Hispania. Thanks for the link. {[]

    The overall cost with shipping was around $15 less than the other link for Cuchilleria Albacete.
    Brilliant news, I'd be interested to what their service is like from the site, in person they are excellent, {[]

    I just received the knife. No jimping. -{

    The box was a little crushed, but knife is great.

    According to the email I got from nieto only the smallest knife has the jimping the larger two don't. My box was crushed also but I guess that's the postal system for you, congrats -{

    Thanks for letting us know about this seller. -{

    The wrapped cardboard they use is a bit too tight. Still, for the savings involved I am okay with that since I will use the knife. It won't stay mint.

    I had limited success with different grade metal polish, started with a course one I used for "brushing" some polished centre links on an omega strap and just kept going finer until it was mostly done, some etching is still visible in a certain light as you can see from the picture. I'm yet to break out the dremel and cratex wheels. In fact I probably won't bother!

    Just use a green kitchen scouring pad and go with the grain.

    I tried that first, but it just removed the black from the lettering! Maybe the wrong kind of pad ?:)

    Does anyone have any idea where I can order this in North America?
  • Asp9mmAsp9mm Over the Hills and Far Away.Posts: 7,485MI6 Agent
    I doubt you'll find any there at all. It's a very niche manufacturer.
