    Finally we have a price for the jacket it will be €1990 and €1631.15 for non eu residents (hurry up BREXIT). Prices do not include shipping.

    I have updated the info on the first page but we do still need to get to 50 before this will happen

    Fantastic news Simon. Thanks for the update and all your hard work. Hopefully we can get a few more people on board for this project now we have a confirmed price.

    I'm sure the British duties would more than make up for the VAT deduction. It is Britain after all. On a related note, c'mon rise of the USD and fall of the Euro. :p

    Great to finally get a price, Simon. Thanks.

    Now we need another 10-12 people.

    Not something I would deem worthy of celebration. All major currencies are extremely volatile right now, and completely unstable. A little bit of a bigger deal than getting a jacket at a discounted price. But on the other hand, if it is the end of the world, at least you'll look good in your new harrington while the sh** hits the fan.

    Here in the US the Dollar's strength will depend more on that overgrown Oompa Loompa losing his bid for the Presidency in November.

    We have a price now, but I'd guess you're still out?
  • I have a brand new spectre polo navy size 50. If someone buys it for $900, I'll go in for two jackets, and get us closer to that goal.

    That works out to around CDN $2400. Then shipping, duties, taxes on my governments part pushing the cost of this jacket past CDN $3000.

    I'd love to own this jacket but I can not justify that cost. Glad I'm getting Dan's version 2 now as from what I can tell, it's almost an exact replica for less than 10% the cost.

    To those that get one, enjoy! -{

    Because Obama did such a great job right? Oh, and Hillary, she'll turn the country around, right? She can't even turn herself around without the assistance of hired help and medical units on standby.

    And no, we are too far away for me to set funds aside for this order. We haven't even done a recount. The 40 confirmed might actually be 10.

    So you were in with an approx 2K euro ball park figure, Simon gets its it under this figure (a jacket that was discontinued 8 years ago)

    As you are new I have to ask was you serious to begin with lol?

    If you do a recount and we truly are at 40, I'll stay in. I have the funds set aside, but I just don't want to keep them permanently in financial purgatory.

    Great work Simon. Definitely still in. Much better price than I was expecting too.
  • Correction: if someone buys my TF spectre polo for $900, I will go in for 3 jackets total.

    I'm going to assume you are responding to me and if so, I was never "in". I'm just responding to the absurdity of the cost of such a plain non-descript jacket, SA or not.

    If you weren't responding to me, ignore the above. -{

    I was talking to Mickey Mouse who was originally in and ran out of patience

    I have no problem with people complaining about TF prices, all luxury items are of course daft money. I thought the comment "nothing to celebrate" was a bit off / strange as
    it devalues a members efforts for a project that was Mission Impossible (others tried but failed). Tom Ford prob doesnt give a damn about us fans hence for a member to persuade them to do a run on a very old item is a pretty big achievement and a lot of us by the look of the sign up list really want one!

    I agree that what sruzgar has even been able to accomplish so far with TF is amazing.

    To those with the funds to burn on this item, I really hope you all enjoy the jacket if it becomes a reality. I have no ill will towards anyone.

  • Welsh, I was talking about fluctuating currency and not Simon's efforts. Sorry for the misunderstanding.
  • This might be a stupid question, but is there any chance Tf would do this project if we only have 40 orders? Would any amount of arm twisting make it happen?
  • Thanks for getting an official price Simon
