A discussion about the issues, that would have byen nice. In Norway political debates arena nearly never about personalities, but about the issues or who did what when and what it led to. God night, I'm going to Bergen tomorrow to visit my sister.
The first 20 minutes of the final debate has been all about the issues. Now Trump and Clinton are starting to attack each other. It was nice while it lasted.
As I see it, the two main parties have moved further away from the centre, surely there is a need for a third party to operate from the now vacant centre?

I've watched the debate last night and have 2 points:
1. Trump is talking about the upcoming elections to be manipulated and rigged. Assuming that he's certain that he'll win (at least he said so), why does he harm his presidentship by condemning the vote in advance?
2. "Such an evil woman". I was not fully focussed but as I recall, Clinton was talking about her tax reform prior to that "comment" and that people like herself and Trump will pay more taxes then.
Not sure what qualifies to such a remark other than Trump was frustrated and could not hold back the impulse to vent this in such a way.
Certainly not a credit to him and the perspective about him having power for the country.

No, I'm saying hypothetically there is a need for a more central political power, I don't think that's the tea party, from the limited programmes and documentaries I've been watching it's a conclusion I've come to. Purely from what I've seen huge swathes of Americans feel disconnected from Washington and kind of abandoned by government and are left to choose between two candidates they aren't fully invested in. I've tried to keep a sensible eye on things over in the states as it is the most powerful nation in the world and is important they succeed. I'm not at all interested in the sniping and dumbed down salacious coverage that seems rampant these days.
Like things are it seems that Trump stands even far right from so many ridiculous claims from the TeaParty which would then make them a central power )
I just had to think today how much large parts from the GOP must hate the Democrats or being in the opposition that they've allowed a nightmare like Trump to happen to them ;%

Clinton is a very centrist candidate. Bernie Sanders was able to more the Democratic party further to the left, but Clinton is still pretty much in the centre. It's the Republican party that has gone further right. Just a few presidential elections ago, the two parties were hardly different because they were both so centre. A lot of people seem to want candidates who are further left and further right. Bernie Sanders' relative success showed that there is a need for a party that is further left. The Green party is further left, but it's also a one-issue party with a presidential candidate who has no qualifications or brain to be president.
Watching snippets of the annual toast last night, the rival candidates' joshing came across as curiously mirthless. It was like Kathleen Turner and Michael Douglas in The War of the Roses.

An inspired choice. Johnson believes a presidential candidate shouldn't know much about other countries, because "The fact that somebody can dot the i’s and cross the t’s on a foreign leader or a geographic location then allows them to put our military in harm’s way,"
In that sense he is very well qualified. He doesn't know what or where Aleppo is. Lateer he had another "Aleppo moment" when he couldn't name a single foreign leader he respected or admired. Where do Americans find these candidates? )

Hillary Clinton doesn't know where Mosul is (she described it as being "on the Syrian border"; I will ask you to research the actual distance from Mosul to the Syrian border and post it here).
