Well, I just got my H&M BC alternative jacket in, and I've got to give a big shoutout to Criscoop for grabbing this one for me and shipping it over to the USA. Thanks man! {[]
The color is actually pretty darn SA and slightly darker than the website pic:

    IMG_8692.jpg

[H&M IRL] [site] [BC IRL] [SA]

The quality is good for the original price, but these things are on sale in the UK right now for like £23.99 and running out fast. A few sizes left in the USA as well:

    http://www.iconicalternatives.com/2015/12/03/spectre-linen-blazer/

The jacket fits true to size and is a slim fit. The sleeves are way long for me, so I'll have to get that tailored. But, everything else is spot on. The harringbone pattern is certainly there, but it's not overwhelming and adds texture. I can't recommend it enough. Especially at the sale price. Now I just need to get that Magnoli tie when it comes out.

I'm not sure I agree with you in terms of these jackets being true to size. I tried my usual size AND the next size up and still found the fit to be tight. Granted, I spend a lot of time in the weight room. I might say instead that if you're on the slim side you should order your usual size. But if you're broad in the shoulders or big in the biceps, be warned. For me it was a shame that i couldn't find the right fit since I really liked the color of this jacket!

Colonel Potter: Your photo is in the Gallery! Thanks!

    Chriscoop: Have you thought about writing some reviews for the site? I think a lot of people would appreciate your insights! -{

Ornithologist: my pleasure! And no, that size chart is generic for all their products. The CSR recommended that I go by what's stated in the product description. And when you look at the pics, the size medium is just hanging off the model. I think it's styled to be oversized. We'll see what happens when I get it. Maybe a hot wash and some time in the dryer at high temps will help if it's still gigantic. :o

Tennyson: nice find with those! I'll get them into the next update with credit to you.

Llafyks: Can I use that photo in the gallery? Agree with James Brosnan: it looks great! I did see those CT trousers but didn't include them since the sizing was so limited. Too bad, they look like a great match :#

James Brosnan: Speaking of writing reviews .... :D

Germany neither. What a shame. Would even consider having it shipped over but it's not worth the risk if the fit is off.

I'm more than willing to ship from USA if you do decide to get it. At least, I think that's what you were talking about :)). I might have misunderstood

Thanks a lot for this! I think UO even ships from their US stores to Europe but I don't want to spend ~30$ for shipping if I can't return in case it doesn't fit. But your offer is much appreciated. Perhaps after canoe2's comments I'll be tempted.

Chriscoop: Sweet! I'll send you a PM

Cheverian: thanks for adding your experience with the fit. I am on the ultra slim side, so I should have Mention that. The color is way better than I expected!

Canoe2: I would love to do reviews of stuff, but they always run out so fast, like the black cardigan that you posted as on sale a while back that I picked up. I feel the same about the H&M jacket, like it will disappear soon.

Great finds on the updated articles, canoe2 and co!

My one question: has anybody else thought of changing the buttons on their Quantum Cardigan alternatives to look a little flashier? I can imagine that Urban Outfitters cardigan with some flashier, bolder leather buttons like on the OG Quantum Cardigan.

If you're in London I got mine from the Button Queen.

Visiting in person whit the cardigan has the benefit of making sure the button size you choose fits the buttonhole as these types of buttons can be thick.

Thanks guys! Unfortunately not only am I not in London, which means I'll have to find a button store one day in my part of Los Angeles, or hit up eBay after getting button measurements.

Chriscoop: shoot me a PM if you think of something you'd be interested in writing about!

armenianmovieman: I might change out the buttons on the UO I ordered. I also ordered one those Perry Ellis cardigans for $22. I always feel a little weird sewing $18 worth of buttons onto a $20 sweater ....

Recently received this Harrington from the bay, nice fabric, size SMALL fits me well.

    http://www.gabicci.com/gabicci-vintage-c1/jackets-c22/vintage-harrington-jacket-in-100-cotton-twill-p343

    I'm 36/38R in suits, 30 waist 5ft 11"

Fabric is really nice, you can see a twill weave, 100% cotton and quite rain / stain repellent.
No elastic on waist or sleeves, a subtle check lining and really nice on the stitching etc.

It's no Royale Harrington for sure! But I just couldn't stretch to the price of Dan's exquisite piece as I'm saving for a wedding!

I cut off their awful 'g' zip pull and installed a new black Leather one like this:
    https://www.amazon.co.uk/Prym-Imititation-Leather-Fashion-Puller/dp/B00KAVLVYI/ref=pd_lpo_201_tr_img_3?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=WAN4C5FFBNRMSDMKAGSD

You can find this on Amazon, the bay and other places, just search 'Gabicci Vintage Harrington'

    Hope this is of interest -{

    HC.

Edit: As this is a budget post I should say I got mine new for £40 shipped to me, a super bargain, but I would pay double that and be happy!

Which budget Solden jacket alternative do you think was Max Eberl (a German football manager) wearing to the game on Tuesday? :))

Chriscoop: I'll send you a PM with some ideas. It may take until tomorrow, but I will get to it.

Post update: Cucinelli SPECTRE Morocco Belt.

    http://www.iconicalternatives.com/2015/12/18/brunello-cucinelli-spectre-belt/

I swear, I could spend all my time just updating the posts for that Morocco look ...

    Edited to add:

If anyone wants one of those BC belts, they have one back in stock at Saks off 5th. It is NOT the Morocco belt. It's the one with the regular, non-center bar buckle in the darker brown. Size 38

They also have a decent range of sizes left in that one! I always forget to check the JS outlet. For bigger guys, there's an XL and XXL left in that Sherwood cardigan for 99 pounds:

I've got a few more posts coming today and over the weekend. But I hammered out this quick one. Amazon is having a big suit sale. Everything is around $130 to $160 and there are some decent alternatives for some Craig era suits.

Well then, perhaps you'll be tempted by a tie! New alternatives for the TF Morocco knit tie:

    http://www.iconicalternatives.com/2016/01/18/tom-ford-spectre-morocco-knit-tie/

Now I just have to finish updating BC blazer post and that should be the almost the whole Morocco look up-to-date

Oh! So the tie isn't doing it for you? Okay. How about ... THESE!!!! :v

My Ebay expert contact told me reach out to the owner of these as soon as I saw them. Sadly, they're too small for me :#

Lightly used C&J Islays in a UK 8.5 (about a U.S. 9/9.5). These ones were made for Barneys. Details and price after the pics:

    CJ-Islays-front.jpg

    CJ-Islays-soles.jpg

    CJ-Islays-size.jpg

    CJ-Islays-insole.jpg

    Details and Price

-Jeff is asking $275 U.S. including free shipping in the States. He will ship overseas for an additional charge; when you contact him just ask about the additional cost of that.

-Like with the TF ties, I'm not getting anything out of this if he sells them. Just a friend doing a favor for friends.

-I am not the one selling these on behalf of anyone. But like Matthew, Jeff is a very respected member of the Style Forum community.

-If you are interested in the boots, just shoot me a PM here and I will give you his contact info. Once you contact him, whatever deal, etc. you work out is between the two of you.

Okay, back to work for me ... {[]
