As Barbel aka the Vladimir Putin of ajb has shut down the US political debate thread, I thought we could air our views here while he is not about. This thread has every criteria needed to be classified as the 'Dark Net'.
I have no probs with Trump championing the Rust Belt of the US, nor with the idea that he lost the popular vote yet enters the White House. What is the alternative, after all? West and East coast states are highly populous, yet if they are allowed to dictate everything you have huge swathes of the Mid West unrepresented. Citizens will be forced to move to the East or West to enjoy their benefits, exacerbating the problem and creating over population for the likes of California. You see something similar in the UK with the drift to London and lack of affordable housing.
However, Trump is now looking silly, in particular with the 'my inauguration attendance was bigger than yours' line. It is pathetic really, though I should say that if it turned out the media have doctored the photos of his and Obama's turnout, shame on them. There are many reasons for Trump's low turnout, not least that those who voted for him simply cannot afford to hop on a Greyhound bus for a jolly to see him signed in, they are trying to make ends meet.
For Trump to accuse the media of lying seems very petty and his whole knee jerk Twitter thing makes it hard to imagine him saying anything dignified should there be any time of national crisis or mourning. I could be wrong, I just can't picture him doing it.
It's true the media do seem very sore about his victory and it runs against their whole ethos, but it is all getting a bit depressing now. On Sky TV, Rory Bremnar the mimic and satirist did a brief and brilliant summary of Trump's rhetoric, try to catch it if you can.

I also approve of his plan to strengthen the infrastructure. Hopefully is plans will give more jobs, but I doubt it will on the long term. I'm very worked about how he treats the press and how he and his administration views facts and truth. "Alternative facts" is simply Newspeak. BTW: Is there any proof the press doctored the inaguration photos? I should think getting away with it would be Impossible, since there were so many different news sources there at the time.

Well, it's odd to see Trump sign all these executive orders, gotta say, using US steel for US projects sounds alright with me. Can't go along with the whole healthcare thing though, I think if he cancels that it will be retrograde.
