Danner Boots Ice Cleats (on screen!)

Was flicking through the JB Archives and noticed Bond was (unless I'm very much mistaken) wearing ice cleats on screen after all.

I know Mantis had a pair of ones DC used/also used as have I however, they look to be different in the pic below....

Thoughts??
(Annoyingly the pics are on their side...why does this happen? Vexing X-( )

    I don't have the book but whats odd is this similar shot he does not have them on so were they CGI'ed out?

    crudely threw this together, maybe someone could do better but the photos are essentially identical other than the missing cleat, so now which one is real???

    Guessing the real pic is with the cleat and CGI'd out as you mentioned above1!

    Bond wearing Cleats prob makes him look a bit wimpy :))

    Same photo though one without cleats is a publicity still floating around online and one with is in bond archives book which you would think they would CGI out before that was published and out there forever!

    My guess is that the images for the book had to be submitted and finalized before the film was complete. The removal of the ice cleats in the film could very well have been a last-minute addition to the VFX work in order to keep continuity in the surrounding shots/scenes, as you suggested, Simon.

    Some solid theories here...Totally plausible!
    But then filming the Solden scenes were done by February last year and the release of the updated archives was in November! It was a double take when I had it delivered this morning!! :o lol

    I think the only time I remember seeing the cleats on film are when he's walking to the Hoffler Clinic?

    Indeed...

    Close up of cleats; pic presumably taken between takes...

    Interestingly, we don't see Bond in full when he exits the plane (or what's left of it!) before he unplugs Madeline's seat-belt; only in the picture.

    Being that he's going downslope I guess Bond slipping onto his hiney would be a brass neck hence the cleats lol

    Like Walther and Welshboy said, we only seem to see them when he initially arrives at the clinic on film -{

    Whichever one has the six yellow dots underneath, originally bought a pair that came with four red dots underneath so be sure to clarify if possible.
