...is one of my favorite authors...I think I've read everything he wrote and I have cook book around here somewhere that I believe he edited...anyway...someone here should use their considerable influence to talk someone into making his novel Bomber into a first rate film or really good mini-series....

    Love Deighton, particularly his WWII novels though I really liked XPD. As for bringing his non-filmed books to the screen, Winter is my favorite and has potential for either an epic 3 hour movie or a mini-series.

    Love Deighton, too, and totally agree re Bomber and Winter. Away from his his WW2 novels, anyone read Close Up? One of his best.
