Doesn't anyone in Yorkshire knock before entering?

  ) Well it depends on the person, their relationship and which room they're entering, master of the house would not knock on any door unless it's a ladies personal rooms, the butler wouldn't knock, but he wouldn't really be entering a room unless he was summoned or expected.
  In my house I don't knock on any door, the children will knock at our bedroom door, I always knock at other peoples houses, whereas my mother in law will just walk straight in to mine..... Which annoys me.

  It was either that.....or the priesthood
