Topic: Grigio Perla

Hi guys, I'm new to this site, but a huge Bond fan. My question, is how do I get hold of a pair of the Grigio Perla swimshorts as worn in casino Royale?.....I've looked everywhere without success. La Perla stores are sold out completely, other stores that may sell that kinda thing either haven't heard of them or have sold out too. I've seen them on eBay a couple of times but they have gone for HUGE money and I mean HUGE!!...OR they have been fakes and scams (wrong color schemes, or pictures from the JamesBond Lifestyle.com, so what now guys?...do I just persevere and and wait my time til the rush for them dies off?.....will it die off?...

I called the La Perla store in Florida in Novemeber and they put my name on a waiting list. They called me back about 2 wks ago and now I'm the proud owner of a bathing suit I might never wear in public...but my wife likes it!

I'm now on the waiting list! how long that waiting list is...is anyone's guess...but as I was told it 'll probably be quite a while...hmmmm

They must have totally underestimated the amount of people who would want them if there are waiting lists for people. They definitely made a good choice supplying them.

I was originally going to get a pair, but they wanted all this weird stuff like a photocopied drivers license, etc and I just didn't feel like that was normal. Does anyone know if they've stopped asking for such strange things?

Its a way of verifying your details..usually used for credit card purchases. They want to see that you actually are who you say you are and have the card at hand...you could have a stolen card etc. Its usual practise for some companies when a bank fails to verify your card

The girls at La Perla were always very polite, and very helpful. They never asked for any other information other than my name, address, & credit card. They put my name on the waiting list, then months later when the bathing suits were available, they called me. They then faxed an order form to me and I wrote out my credit card info, and faxed it back to them. I got the suit in the mail a few days later. It was a very easy, painless transaction.

The woman I spoke to was also incredibly nice, but still asked me for more information than I was comfortable with.
