    I'm tempted to say CR. Craig utters the immortal line whilst standing over his prey with a massive sub-machine gun. Cue Bond theme. Pretty awesome note to end on.

    i am with you there alex...i love the ohmss ending but the tswlm ending with its jaunty sailor sea shanty version of nobody does it better is great...pure 70s bond

    OHMSS is by far the best ending for me...I really like the endings to CR and QoS as well...especially the image of the 'love knot' in the snow...cracking stuff !

    I think that OHMSS wins hands down.

    The ending is tragic, beautiful, emotional and is the only truly poignant ending to a Bond film. Well acted, directed and scored.

    There are also other Bond films that leave you really excited and wanting more - such as CR. And others which leave you with a giddy thrill such as TB. Even some of the sillier and tackier endings such as TMWTGG are enjoyable.

    My favorite ending is Thunderball. This is the prototypical Bond ending in which Bond is with a beautiful girl and is either in, on or near a large body of water.

    I love it when the rescue balloon is caught by the airplane and he pops out of site with Domino. Then you have the "James Bond Will Return..." up on the screen.

    I have to say that the endings in both Craig outings were quite good.

    Dr. No is a complete and perfect ending with the rowboat drifting off to sea boat and a breezy instrumental of Underneath the Mango Tree.
    FRWL and Goldfinger have similar great endings. Thunderball has that great visual moment with the skyhook. YOLT has the best Moneypenny joke. TSWLM keeps the British end up. Moonraker just for Q's line. TLD is perfect and realistic.
    For me the best endings are OHMSS for sheer emotion and thematic content, and LALD for Baron Samedi on the train after the fight with Tee-Hee with that laugh.
    For every other ending:
    TMWTGG-interesting fight with Nick Nack that goes nowhere. FYEO is retarded. DAF is stupid. TND is uninvolving. OP is painful. AVTAK is too mundane. LTK is just okay. GE is dumb. TWINE is ruined by horrible dialogue and bad acting. DAD is a what the.. moment.

    OHMSS -- Clearly. It's mind-boggling how people hated that film when the ending was so heartbreakingly poignant.

    Live and Let Die -- Simply chilling and wonderful. Baron Samedi is epic.

    Casino Royale -- Daniel Craig's metaphoric bow at the end of the film. He earns your respect throughout the movie, and caps it off weilding a machine gun and uttering everyone's favourite immortal phrase.

    CR, TLD and TB have great endings and I think YOLT is a weak film helped by a good ending.

    CR's ending kicks ass...and although the film frequently gets little or no respect, I'd assert that QoS' ending is superb as well.

    Dr. No was the first film and the one to set the trend for many ends to come, the woman in Bond's arms, so I give my vote to Dr. No.

    I like Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace's ending. First the fact that we see a glimpse of what James Bond is all about when shooting and capturing Mr. White, and then finding and capturing Yusef Kabira in a completely different way, more slick and cunning, no collateral damage, just quick and clean. I also love that it was a throwback to not only the beginning of Casino Royale's with executing Dryden as well as when Bond caught and killed Professor Dent in Dr. No.

    Not to be a lemming, but I have to go with OHMSS followed by CR. Unfortunately my favorite Bond, Sean Connery, had no such memorable endings.

    OHMSS is the best and I agree with others who said DN because it set the trend for the others. I also always like how LTK ended with Bond jumping in the pool, thought it was romantic.

    OHMSS has to be the best ending because it's so unique.

    I haven't yet seen Daniel Craig's movies, but all the other endings I've seen, while they are different in styles of presentation, basically they're the same standard routine. After triumphantly ending his mission, Bond goes for it one more time with his main ladyfriend of the film.

    In OHMSS he marries Tracy, only to have her shot and killed on the way to their honeymoon.
    A tragic tear-jerking finale to what is essentially a romance adventure epic.
    Roger Moore is my favourite 007 R.I.P.

    OHMSS. The wedding is a classic scene. Moneypenny's sadness, Q's friendliness, the chemistry between Lazenby and Rigg. And then the shooting. All that wonderful emotion, turned into tragedy instantly. Perfect ending.

    Amazing to see that I'm not the only one who thinks OHMSS has the best endings!

    I also love the ending to CR... When Bond fires Mr. White in the leg and says the classic line:
    ¨The name's Bond, James Bond¨

    I'm with you on that, Alex. The speed and economy of that ending should be a lesson to all Bond film-makers.

    Bond kills the villian, escapes death and ends in a embrace with a lovely lady, all within seconds. It all happens so fast and efficiently that all Bond films should end with that kind of punctuality and flourish.

    In terms of a Flemingesque ending, it would have to be OHMSS without question.

    For an ending of sheer entertainment, it would be a tie between MR and GE.

    I also have a soft spot for FYEO, OP, and LTK.

    The only ending in the series that remotely resembles Fleming is OHMSS so it has high credence for me (I'll give a wink to DAF but it's drastically reimagined from the book), but for sheer impact, I'd actually go with CR which has the world famous immortal tag-line! Excellent stuff!
