Anyone know what belt this is? Prada? Dunhill?

No idea, but if you find out, please post. That whole ensemble is gorgeous.

It'd be even nicer if it came with Eva Green.

Looks a bit like the criss cross pattern on Prada leather goods?

Bumped for good luck. Also curious as the Madagascar pants had a Prada belt, which seems a little silly for Africa. :s

True but it was hidden with his shirt - only off set pics showed it.

People have gone over this previously, look at the scene again an you will see he didn't wear a belt with the linen drawstring trousers.

The belt is only shown when he's in the photo off filming on a break.

You do realise the scene was shot over many days!! Im sure the belt would have been on at some point e.g a running scene

I doubt he put it on just for a break in filming

Hasn't it been established that the belt's there only for carrying the gun? (So I guess in shots where no gun was necessary - 'cos it couldn't be seen! - no belt would have been used)

And I have yet to see a photo where the pants have any belt loops. None of the photos in this thread show any. Therefore, without loops on the trousers, its pretty clear the belt wasn't there to hold his trousers up!

Besides, aren't draw string trousers meant to avoid the wearer needing a belt???

Yep, those pics above are during the gun scene so makes sense, the belt is on for the holster

I guess this thread proves we all speak different versions of the same language!

I pointed out that the belt is clearly seen in many action shots like the ones I posted pics of .

NOT just the resting pic in the "On set" book, which was implied earlier.

    And Bruno

I said I coundn't find a shot where he WASN'T wearing the belt
    ..
I know where the resting shot came from! :)
anyway unless anyone can find a shot where dc's waist is exposed yet the belt doesn't show, I think he wore the belt all the time.

I have a Pair of the trousers and they are Very strange cut.
They need a Belt just to help the tie keep them in place.

Not trying to add any more confusion to the discussion, but I think it's been established that the purpose of the belt was to support his Vega holster with the P99, not to hold up his drawstring pants, as they do not require a belt. Therefore, it would make sense that he wears the belt for the entire chase scene, as he is supposed to be wearing the holstered P99 the entire time.

In addition, here is another screenshot which shows him wearing the belt & holster during the chase: http://screenmusings.org/CasinoRoyale/pages/CR_0189.htm

It's close, but no cross-hatch pattern
  • welshboy78welshboy78 Posts: 10,293MI6 Agent
A near identical cross hatch QOS belt is found on the official Prada e-store! I cant quite tell the diff between that and the original (maybe cross hatch pattern has slight variation).

In fact there are two versions, one with the Prada logo in the right place as the QOS belt and another with it on a diff pace on the buckle

Also, tout, the fascia is on Raffaello is Black, whereas I thought we'd determined that the screen-used one was solid "silver". Keep an eye open for the word "saffiano" (cross-hatched) to describe the leather too. Not cheap either, for Raffaello.

This one has the right material & colour, but the buckle is inaccurate to the one worn onscreen: http://www.raffaello-network.com/raffties/detail.php?itemid=126693&rangeid=191

Pretty sure they werem't Bakers, but some obscure specialist brand.

As KE02 EWW indicated above he has the real pair, he's your man.

This thread interests me, because, in my line of work, I need a pair of pants like these - a more stylish cargo, to be precise to wear with my work (or casual) polo.

Thank you for your work, fellow fans... especially Mantis. Your accuracy gives us "on a budget" types the best heading to take when we try to look our best!

    Perhaps?

I bought a pair of these, and they're not bad! Just would prefer a lighter weight pair of pants: it's hot and humid in Italy in the summer!
