Re: Daniel Craig to continue as Bond "as long as he can".
Good stuff, brief clip is of them filming a key scene, a bit spoilerish in that you may be able to piece together something from it and extrapolate. Avoid if you wish to hold off for a while.
Mathis: Yes?
Bond: Well, you're a French police inspector, yet you speak with an Italian accent.
Mathis: Mamma mia, it worries me, too.
Re: Daniel Craig to continue as Bond "as long as he can".
Positive stuff from Daniel Craig, also saying that he want's to make bigger and better films and leave his mark. The brief clips of the scenes being filmed are in London.
Craig saying that he will keep going until they ask him to stop is not something I would have expected him to say when he was initially cast as Bond 6. He struck me at the time as the type of actor who would not wan't to be typecast in one role for too long.
Re: Daniel Craig to continue as Bond "as long as he can".
True, however Craig has demonstrated well that he is incredibly diverse purely by the number of films and the variation of films he has done since being Bond. So I don't think he will be type cast at all.

I think he played down-and-out-journalist in The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo nicely.
Re: Daniel Craig to continue as Bond "as long as he can".
And I have to say he's looking really good... much better than the pics I've seen.
Although his really short hair cut doesn't suit him..... but there could be an explanation for this...
Great post!

The short hair has lost some of its luster and warmth, so yes, he should grow it out and show that he really still has some! I will say he has been less startlingly aged-looking in the most recent shots of him, IMO.
Re: Daniel Craig to continue as Bond "as long as he can".
Looks like they're recreating Temple tube station** in Pinewood too; to do that I'm guessing it's quite a major scene being filmed. The XJL making a break for it against the flow of police cars too - M making a hasty retreat with Bond at the wheel??
**Temple is on the Victoria Embankment, no? It's a couple of miles from Whitehall and further from MI6...

Indeed, I did some checking on Google Earth. Temple tube station is on the North embankment right next to the Thames. So, from a storyline perspective, its a decent car chase distance from the Whitehall offices, Fleet Street, The Houses Of Parliament and The Vauxhaull building.

Here is an extended version of the BBC's interview with Daniel Craig.
Daniel Craig on James Bond film legacy

Re: Daniel Craig to continue as Bond "as long as he can".
A positive interview. Daniel Craig clearly seems to be a lot happier with the set up on Skyfall than he was on Quantum of Solace, "the tricky second album" as he called it. He really likes the script and is enjoying working alongside a pretty stellar cast. Not forgetting that he has also worked with Sam Mendes before.
The subject of typecasting was raised and Craig stated that the role of Bond was a privilege and too good an opportunity to miss and he would have to take the rough with the smooth and get on with life. All good stuff.

DC comes across very well.

Here is one for Spanish speakers amongst us. An interview with Javier Bardem. It features the same footage from the film as the BBC in their interview with Daniel Craig. Craig says he is strong, a super villain.

EDIT: Here is an extended clip of Javier Bardem's interview.
The article translates part of it.
"It's been a fun adventure. But more importantly, also has everything you would expect from a James Bond film, a powerful story and a character with flesh."
"When you see the material and the character, you forget a bit of a James Bond movie and see it's a great movie, and that's what attracted me much."

Well I'm a happy fan.
Re: Daniel Craig to continue as Bond "as long as he can".
Wasn't similar propaganda put out before we got the "Masterpiece " QOS.
I seem to remember " Great script" "keeping many of the traditional elements " etc.

A more detailed translation of Javier Bardem's interview with Spanish TV (TVE) has emerged. Bardem talks about his role as Raoul Silva (amongst other things). He says that the character is out to give Bond a hard time and puts him into some curious and interesting difficulties.

He very cleverly says absolutely nothing about his character at all, though. I did like this line the best...
Explaining why Raoul Silva will be blonde, Bardem says, "I don't know, ..."

What do you expect. " Script is terrible" "Script is just ok" when promoting a film? Just like a sports interview youre gonna get the usual cliches.
Well they did keep many traditional elements. Unfortunately in the franchises 50 yrs that has never guaranteed a good film.

Another thing to keep in mind. . .the experience of making a film has no bearing on the finished, edited, and assembled film. Those involved with Casablanca variously reported that they thought they were making nothing more than a standard studio "B" picture; and many actors and actresses have talked about working from a great script and having a wonderful time on the set--but the finished product was a disaster. Take Craig and everyone else at their word: they like what they're doing. Let's just hope that the completed film lives up to their and our expectations.
Re: Daniel Craig to continue as Bond "as long as he can".
MTV News recently visited the set of Skyfall at Pinewood. They interviewed Daniel Craig, Javier Bardem and Berenice Marlohe. Perhaps the most interesting comment from Craig is when he mentions the very important relationship between Bond and Silva that gives the film a richer context. Bardem says Silva is really complex, not an easy guy.

Quite so; it appears he's made peace with it, which is good
I'm curious to see how many Bond films he finishes with.
