Topic: Title Sequence Thoughts

I have just watched The Avangers (Assemble), and had a revalation that kind of ties in with the rumours and what EON seem to be playing about with atm, so stay with me.

Let's say Skyfall opens with the traditional gun barrel, and 007 theme.  Nice?
Then straight into the movie...NO TITLE SEQUENCE!

Right at the end, we get the end titles, by Kleinman complete with Adele song.

This fits because:

1.  EON seem to be playing about with titles, gunbarrel during DC's term.
2.  Rumours are that Adele is singing a song to be used at the end of the movie.
3.  Lots of films at the moment seem to be moving away from long lingering titles at the start.

What do other fans think?

I ve posted before that I think they could Drop the opening titles, as suggested Gunbarrel
to open then Into the movie.  ajb007/martini

This actually makes sense, Strangeways.  Good reasoning there...although if I've got the PTS figured correctly, there's a natural place to break for the opening titles/song   ajb007/wink   It certainly is fun to speculate!   ajb007/bond

I think the title sequence is such an established part of as Bond film it should not be removed. But making a title sequence with instrumkental music and ending the movie with Adele could be fantastic!

Well you make good reasoning. However, I still don't think I could ever part with the traditional PTS. It's just... part of bond, at least for me anyway.

It wouldn't bother me if the main titles sequence were moved to the end. I thought I wouldn't be able to cope without a gunbarrel logo but its displacement didn't stop me enjoying CASINO ROYALE. I'd rather the film-makers concentrated on presenting a rattling good yarn than just adhere rigidly to Bond lore.

That said, I believe Broccoli, Wilson & Mendes will more likely return to the gunbarrel/pre-credits/title sequence tradition of old.
