Topic: OMG! Jany Temime answers some of our toughest wardrobe queries!

I took the liberty of contacting Skyfall's Costume Designer, and have some amazing news! "Enjoying Death" Chinos? Check. Desert boots? Check. Lodge trousers? Check. Teal undershirt? Check!!!!

Here is the email that I received directly from Jany herself. We still have some research to do, but what a headstart, eh?

Hi Blair,
Thank you very much for your interest and your compliments!
I am going to try to answer your questions.
First, Bond's ties were specially made by Tom Ford.
His "Turkey " chinos are from Topman.
Desert boots from Zara,
Scotland trousers are brown cords from All Saints.
Cream cotton collarless shirt also by All Saints.
And his blue cashmere sweater is by N Peal.
Hope you have everything you need.
Kindest regards,
Jany Temime

There you go. If you don't ask, you don't get!

Can you swim?

Nice work. I haven't seen the film yet ( booked for Saturday night!) but from what I have heard, the 'enjoying death' period, he's lying low. Grabbing suitable clothes from chain stores that are in most towns and cities, is entirely condusive with that plot. Nipping to Londons West End and browsing top end shops for the right outfits is not.

Well done, I was racking my brain over a few items, but the current N Peal sweater in "petrol" does look to be the correct color, I mean it's a nice color, it's  just not that funky blue, that Bond wears.  ajb007/lol

Re: OMG! Jany Temime answers some of our toughest wardrobe queries!

great work and luck getting a responce.

my only suggestion to people is NOT to swamp Jany with requests. the majority of people in the film industry don't reply to fan based requests as it usually opens a can of worms, so my advice would be to respect Jany's time and if anyone had further info requests, how about you guys get your heads together and get all your questions put together for one email and then call it a day?

just a thought like,

Well done. Maybe the brown cords and some of the other togs are from the last season and a little bit different to the season 2012/2013.

Great point, MG. Jany has been so generous with her time to answer my questions, and I don't want to spook her.

However, in my follow up email to Jany, to thank her for her swift and generous response, I asked her about Q's cardigan and tie. She's just responded. The cardigan is by Dries Van Noten, and the knitted silk tie from Zara.

As you suggest, if there are any further questions, Mantis' query about the Shanghai top and trousers, let us compile one single email to include all the necessary lines of enquiry that I can fire off at a later date.

Re: OMG! Jany Temime answers some of our toughest wardrobe queries!

I've just been in contact with N Peal, and the teal jumper is a round neck 1 ply sweater in Blue Wave - product code NPG 132.

They have 9 mediums and 3 extra larges left, which you have to order, and that will be it. So, if you are interested, you'd better get your skates on. They retail for £219.

Glad to have cleared that one up!

Blair, great news indeed!!  Great work on uncovering these items!!  It appears that Blue Wave is one of last season's colors for the cardy.  Perhaps Petrol is the next best choice.

Kind regards,
Craig

In the spirit of brother hood and all that jazz, I here by give up my size M, in the N Peal sweater, got to draw a line somewhere, and the color of that sweater is enough to keep me away! You would think it would be the price.  ajb007/lol
