Re: Making replica bond props - An insight into the art of 3D forgeries.

Yes, I remember Ed's work on the Lake Toplitz gold bars and was able to obtain one of Barry Koper's gold bars through Ed.  It's a great piece and I still have it in my collection along with the property receipt.

Your research certainly made it more than just a gold bar Ed. it is a very chilling story.

Just to give it the finishing touch I managed to find a wooden box and lined it with felt to put my gold bar in.

Cheers Ed for the receipt  ajb007/martini

Nice effort rob, i think it's the finishing touches that can 'make or break' a piece sometimes. Congrats on outdoing me!

Pfft, if I can do it then most should be able.

One of the points of the gold bar project was to show you guys that you don't have to be equipped with expensive machines or materials. Sure in some cases it helps and makes jobs easier, but it's not always a necessity.

Goes to show rob that with a little passion and some artistic licence, most people can make themselves something bondian. Hopefully the project inspired others too, again, nice work, question now is what's the next project? ajb007/biggrin

Anyone here make a golden gun replica? Im looking into some parts and I want to make a fully functional (blanks) replica of it. I know this is gonna be a hard task though. And btw, anyone here know the make and model of the cigarette case used in the movie? Thanks.

I think this is the best idea I have heard for years. I am surprised that Jeff is so positive about it as well as he told me he didn't fancy it. Put me down for one Jeff. Is there a tick I like this post option on here anywhere ?
