Your Favourite PTS's

My favourite PTS hands down is TLD.
And I never thought I'd say this, but now that I understand the "Delicatessen" line, FYEO's PTS is one of my favourites.
TWINE's is awesome & LONG.
GF's is just plain cool.
GE, TND & TB's are slick & action packed.
OHMSS has a style & mystery about it.

What are yours?
Dalton & Connery rule. Brozz was cool.

Over time it has become more and more difficult to choose just one, so I'm going to cheat and name my top three - GF, TWINE and CR. Oh wait, I also really like OHMSS and TLD. Forget it - I can no longer choose a favorite! :#

Yeah, I seem to remember one too. I just did a search for 'pre title sequence' and also came up empty.

    Goldfinger or Goldeneye for me. Both are complete fantasy nonsense but so exciting and fun to watch. -{

I'd say The Spy Who Loved Me. It sets up the main plot with the submarine, subverts our expectation with Agent XXX being the woman in the bedroom scene, and culminates in a fantastic ski sequence ending with the climactic union jack parachute jump. Iconic stuff.

I will concede that TSWLM has a great PTS but my favourite will always be TLD. Dalton's introduction is truly bad-ass.

Every single time I watch QOS it edges up a tiny bit on my list of all time favourite Bonds. If ONLY the song was as good as CR's... ;)
QOS's PTS is a stunner. Like the whole movie, a strike of lightning.

The Living Daylights has always been a favorite of mine too, it is not often that we see the 00 section training, plus having Bond deploy his spare parachute to escape the falling Land Rover was pretty creative if you ask me.

Also I really enjoy the teasers to FRWL( I honestly thought that James Bond had really been killed until the lights came up and it was reveled to be a SPECTRE training exercise for Red Grant. Also I loved the whole "mini movie" aspect of Goldfinger's PTS, along with CR's opening in black and white of Bond earning his 00 status via the assassinations of Fisher and Dryden.

YOLT is another one that I enjoy, again the filmmakers had me fooled with another "death" for James Bond. Also the space capsule hijacking is well done, and IMO has some of John Barry's best music composed for the series.

Casino Royale. Craig is really cool and vicious here. the flashbacks with the bathroom pagga are really thrilling and well choreographed. Good choice by Martin Campbell to shoot the scene in black and white, makes the scene look like a film noir and adds suspense.

In my book this is by far the best PTS. The way the intro builds up, has Bond fail and then against all odds finally succeed only to run out of fuel. I love the way Barrys score is used so delicately - no music from the first appearance of the Acrostar until the hangar is blown up, just suspense. Like the rest of the film Moore makes us feel how incredibly comfortable he is with the role at that moment in time (more at ease than any film both before or after) and how much he enjoys playing the part.
I still remember when I was younger and saw the film for the first time, and how I had to pause the VHS after "fill 'er up please" and call all my friends to tell them what I had just seen. Absolutely outstanding, and escapism at its best - which is exactly what Bond is all about.

    Goldfinger.

I just find the sheer brutality of Bond engaging in hand to hand combat quite entertaining, and there's the fact that Bond just casually strolls into a bar and glances at his watch while the factory blew up in the background .... classic Bond.

I honestly feel the PTS of SP is one of the best ones the series have had! (if not the best!) And it will go down in history as just that! I love the camera following Bond along, Bond being smooth with the girl, stepping out of the window, adjusting his cuffs and walking on the ledge of the building casually getting the silencer out of his pants pocket, it's so badass! The helicopter stunt work and fighting is impressive! And all the thousands of extra's that had to go through make up every day deserves some applauding! The whole thing blew me away immediatly!
