Lodge scarf alternative

So like many I could not find a Tom Ford shawl to cut down to the size of a scarf. But then, though I liked the look of a cravat, I thought tucking in the scarf into a sweater creates a weird bump in the chest which to me looked sloppy. So why not use a neck gator or buff? Since this was the reason DC wanted something soft and warm, to wrap around his neck, I believe this a cool alternative. So I ordered a wool neck gator from BUFF, and so thought I would share since it had not been mentioned before. I have used it on safari, during dusty morning game drives, and it works really well.

Yesterday I received a reasonably cheap alternative to the lodge scarf. The colour is a nice dark chocolate, it's made from cotton (so it's good for those that don't get on with wearing wool). It has a slightly frayed look to it and the small size is not bulky so you don't feel like you're wrapping a blanket around your neck. Delivery to the UK did cost an additional £11 import duty and handling fee (but still fairly good value). The seller was very good at keeping me informed about my order and it took a week to arrive from the USA after placing the order.
