OHMSS Scene Recreation: Aston Martin DBS Portugal Atlas and Nighthawks

Cheers All,
Finally took the seat out of the DBS and set up a mini studio to try to replicate the original OHMSS scene.
First pic is a screenshot from the film.
Second is my best shot at recreating the iconic scene.
The rest are for fun....showing my mini studio.
Ah well, a good 3 hours blown on a long weekend...

Definitely confirm that the seat used in the Eon studio shot was NOT any DBS seat. Could have been anything. Would be nice for some of our OHMSSaholics to do some research and find out what seat was used.

Ah well, enjoy...
Tom

Could that be a Rolls Royce seat, probably from the Corniche convertible?

Good guess, which is as good as mine...
Huge debate going on as to how and what seat it would have been.
Here are some shots typical DB5 (cream) and DB6 (red) seats.

What would they have used as a studio shot? Maybe a left over DB5 seat from GF or TB? Of course, a "left over" DB5 seat would probably have not existed, as it would have been a VERY expensive thing to have around. Those seats are also made to order with the car, as are most of the interior pieces.
What about a stock seat prop from the Props Dept? Could have been from anything.
My research on Classic Driver states that the Corniche was made fro 1971-on, so it couldn't have been that model.

Maybe it was a story like the Walther LP, where they just pulled the seat out of some PA's car that was black and looked close.
Again, maybe a Ford Cortina? Who knows.....
