New Corgi 'Goldfinger' Aston Martin DB5 - 50th Anniversary Model 2015

This iconic model is due to make a return in 2015. The James Bond Aston Martin - 'Goldfinger' 50th Anniversary model is a recreation of Corgi's famous model, first released in October 1965.
Here's the description from Corgi: "In 1965 Corgi won the first Toy of the Year award for the 'Goldfinger' James Bond Aston Martin DB5. Now, in 2015 we present a new release, fully featured DB5 for a new generation of James Bond fans."
Corgi will be releasing 2 versions of the model. The first is Model No.CC04203, presented in its classic silver birch livery. The second is Model No. CC04203G; a limited edition that will be produced in a gold finish. Displayed in a special retro-styled anniversary box featuring artwork from the original 1965 packaging, the new models will come complete with many features such as the ejector seat, retractable machine guns and rotating number plates.
Due for release on 1st January and priced at £19.99.

Dalton - the weak and weepy Bond!
Thank you for posting. Clearly a first for Hornby Hobbies but it's styling would suggest it does not know if it is supposed to be a C261 or a reduced gadget C270? There is nice detailing which neither of the two Mettoy Playcraft originals had but to me at this stage at least they appear a little tacky much like some of Corgi's later efforts produced in China were. Corgi were a quality brand who had an incredibly ingenious research and development team lead by Merlin himself Marcel Van Cleemput & if nothing else these should have been a tribute to that team. Harsh comments perhaps but I would hate to see Hornby take the same misguided quality shortcuts which Corgi mistakenly took in recent years however I'm sure those who do not have access to originals for £20 will love them.

No doubt these will show up on Ebay for a fair bit more than Corgi are charging...
Update: an online retailer that I've dealt with before has to order 5 silver DB5's to obtain 1 gold one. Pricewise it's pay 4, get 5. Deal done, hopefully.
