Best/Worst Pre Title Sequence

So....what is the best pre title sequence? And what's the worst?

Best:

The world is not enough. It has one of my favourite scenes of Brosnan's films - the escape from the banker's office - and then has my favourite boat chase in the thames. For some reason, I just love bond films that take place a lot in London.
Honourable mentions: FYEO, OP, TLD, LTK, GE, TND and SF.

Worst:

TMWTGG. Quite underwhelming, and lacks any action/intensity. I don't think much of the GF or OHMSS opening, and the LALD opening is ok, but nothing special.

Best:
Skyfall. Sums up what the pre-titles should be like. Not too long. Not too short. Excellent action and cliff hanger.

Worst:
Diamonds are Forvever.
Just a stupid follow on from OHMSS. Not even remotely funny just silly and kinda creepy as well

Best: Goldfinger

Worst: A View to a Kill

Goldfinger is not the most exciting or the longest, but it produces first all of the elements that are required. A View to a Kill's is stultifying in its camp, and Moore looks far too tired to be believed, especially when he more or less leers at the girl.

Worst: TMWTGG - Not only dull, but a little silly if you ask me.

Just bloody brilliant. Both of them.

Worst: Die Another Day
I just found it a little... boring, draggy and lacking in certain areas.

Diamonds Are Forever. Tracy's death is treated with little/no respect, brushed off very quickly and then completely forgotten about. Oh well, how sad, never mind.

Are people just pretending the FYEO pts didn't happen? All the great moments with Blofeld and Bond just drops him into a smoke stack? It doesn't get any worse then that.

WORST: LALD. I like that it's not so obvious, but the absence of Bond kills it for me.

Worst: GE (no contest there; LALD is different, but makes a point of being different. GE tries to be a "classic" PTS and fails miserably).

Actually to be honest TWINE

The bit in the bank in Bilbao and then the boat chase down the Thames which goes on for too long. It goes on for seven minutes so when the titles come on its a shock.

Imma do a quick run-down.

DN - N/A
FRWL - Great. Totally fooled me.
GF - Good. Standard 007 stuff.
TB - Meh. Campy, not in a good way.
YOLT - Good. Cool concept of faking his death.
OHMSS - Good. Good guy Bond.
DAF - Meh. Interesting but bad Connery acting.

PTS Rankings: FRWL > YOLT > OHMSS > GF > TB > DAF > DN

LALD - Meh. Kinda boring. but gets spooky quite quick.
MWGG - Very good. Scaramanga's maze is fascinating.
TSWLM - Very good. Skiing. Action. Humor. British Flag. All good.
MR - Okay. Skydiving is cool. Jaws is cool. Ordinary though.
FYEO - Great. Continuity all the way!!
OP - Good. Is very bizarre in a compelling way.
AVTAK - Okay. TSWLM spoof. Nothing profound but kinda funny.

PTS Rankings: FYEO > TSWLM > MWGG > OP > LALD > AVTAK > MR

TLD - Meh. Weak intro for Dalton and action did nothing for me.
LTK - Very Good. Gets the dark tone established and paces the movie well.
GE - Great. First minute is okay, but it gets better and better and better.
TND - Okay. Decent generic action.
TWINE - Okay. Has a lot of things going on but Too long.
DAD - Very Good. Too corny? Too maudlin? Whatever, it's cool.
CR - Great. Excellent intro for Craig. Sets up his character well.
QOS - Very good. Jerky camera but really fast, ballsy and intense
SF - Great. A big action bonanza. Has depth but gets to the point.

PTS Rankings: CR > GE > SF > DAD > LTK > QOS > TND > TWINE > TLD

I think Moonraker had the makings of being arguably the best, until the ludicrous appearance of Jaws. For me, TSWLM is tops. Worst, TMWTGG.
