WIP - Prototype complete - SF Macau chip

minigeffminigeff EnglandPosts: 7,884MI6 Agent
Well it's time to get back in the saddle as it were.

Many of you know that over the past year I've been suffering from a case of depression, and from what I've experienced from it, it made me very despondent about pretty much everything. I'm not after sympathy or feel embarrassed about it, but it's caused me to simply loose interest in bond stuff completely.

To get back into things I've come back to AJB and have decided to do the SF floating dragon chip. I picked this as it's something new, a fresh project and it's current so hopefully should peak some interest. It's also an opportunity to scrape the rust off my skills and get my hand back in before resuming other projects that were on the go before the wheels fell off.

It's also quite a simple construction but needs to be very precise, especially the dragon details etc. Anyhow, I've got as much info as I can and have made a start, so here's where I'm at.

Hopefully should have it nearly done by the weekend.

Cheers for now,

MG -{

    Very nice! Short of the palm print-coded Walther, that one's the SF grail to me.

    Well I'm miffed.

    Having a tad of an issue with one aspect of chip, but I think I've got a solution...

    I've got other bits in though, nice box to put it in etc....

    More news at end of the week.

    I know I may be jumping the gun... but would this be something you would consider making for sale for the board members?

    And so say all of us--though you would never sell them to keep things smooth with the powers that be. :)

    Well I think I've got the gold writing sorted;

    A21DFE07-B32E-4A6B-B1ED-3745304500CE_zpssew4n6a8.jpg

    Still experimenting to see if I can improve on this but it think it's a good effort. Out of all the aspects of the design I never thought the lettering would be the trickiest.

    Stunning!

    **

    The far side says, "Property of Daniel Craig. Any coincidence between this and a real casino jeton worth a $2 Million payoff made as thick clumps of €500 inside an attaché case with komodo dragon teeth marks upon it is unintentional. Further, should anyone question whether M A C A U F L O A T I N G D R A G O N (c) 1989 signature gun Licence to Kill..."

    I'm actually keeping the other side out of public view as one theiving git has a tendency to lurk these boards and rip mine and others work and ideas off without giving any recognition at all.
