Which films have the best groups of villains?

MilleniumForceMilleniumForce LondonPosts: 1,214MI6 Agent
...not just based on one person, but based on the group of villains, so this include the main villains, main henchmen, and any other villains that are working together in the film.

I have a few favourites:
- Live and Let Die - Kananga, Baron Samedi, Whisper and Tee Hee
A great selection of villains, each memorable in their own way, and the best group.

- A View To A Kill - Zorin, May Day, Jenny Flex, Pan Ho, Scarpine, and Dr Mortner
Whilst only two are featured heavily, characters like Scarpine and Mortner had great potential.

-Licence to Kill - Sanchez, Dario, Truman - Lodge and Milton Krest
Sanchez is one of my favourite villains, and Dario and Krest are good and memorable characters.

- GoldenEye - Travelyean, Xenia Onatopp, Boris and General Ouromov
These characters are just great and work together really well like the villains of LALD.

-Die Another Day - Graves, Zao, Miranda Frost, Mr Kill and Vlad
One of the things I enjoy about DAD is that all those characters are memorable. They may not be the best, but they sure are memorable.

    It has to be Goldeneye.

It could have been AVTAK, but as much as I love Max Zorin, Scarpine and Karl Mortner aren't as good.

But with Goldeneye, every villain is strong. Trevelyen, Xenia, Ourumov, and Boris - All great villains.

I absolutely agree on the first four, but DAD is not on my list. Instead I would ad FRWL (Rosa Klebb and "Red" Grant) and OHMSS (Blofeld and Irma Bundt).

I'll add another vote for FRWL and LALD.

FRWL has Klebb, Kronsteen, Morzeny, Grant and Blofeld. That's a lot of villains, and they are all fantastic.

I think Thunderball is the best for villains, with Largo, Fiona, Vargas, Count Lippe, Angelo, Kutze (who helps Domino at the end) and Blofeld. Plus, the SPECTRE meeting is fantastic.

I really don't care much for the villains in GE and DAD. I hope Spectre will have better villains than any of Daniel Craig's films so far. Silva was the only interesting one, but I can't even remember any other villains from that film. I know there was that other guy, but I can't remember who he is.

I'm pretty much echoing everyone's thoughts here, too. So I'll see you, with:

    From Russia With Love
    Goldfinger
    Thunderball
    Live & Let Die
    Goldeneye...

    ... And raise you:

    TSWLM (how can you ignore Stromberg, Sandor, Naomi, and of course the menacing first appearance of Jaws?). -{

    I would add:

FRWL: Klebb, Grant, Kronsteen, and General Gogol. ;)

GF: The title character, Oddjob, and Pussy Galore

TSWLM: See Charmed & Dangerous post!

OP: Perhaps the biggest group of villains in this one! My favorite is General Orlov.

TND: Carver, Stamper, Gupta, and especially Dr. Kauffman. (Gupta would have been cooler if his deleted scenes were left in)
    My current 10 favorite:

    1. GE 2. MR 3. OP 4. TMWTGG 5. TSWLM 6. TND 7. TWINE 8.DN 9. GF 10. AVTAK

Casino Royale (06) didn't have the most classicly grand "Bond villains" but I still think they are very good, especially as a group.

A banker (Le Chiffre) who teams up with freelance terrorists (Mollaka), African warlords (Obanno), greek government contractors (hard to suppress a smile here) and the mysterious grey eminence that is Mr. White - all of this sounds plausible in the real world and results in a very dark, threatening atmosphere to the movie.

    That being said, I agree with most of the previous posts, too -{

I'd like to be the first to say Moonraker. Though Chang isn't so memorable, Jaws more than makes up for him. And I choose Moonraker over The Spy Who Loved Me because Drax is a pretty great main villain, and much better than Stromberg. If the main villain isn't so good, the group is brought way down.

I also think FRWL, TB and OP have great groups of villains.
