...and please not the codename theory.

Any away, here's the strangest I've heard:
Casino Royale and Quantum take place before Dr No. But Skyfall takes place after Die Another Day.

I remember back in the Daniel Craig civil war in 2006. One fan actually wrote that everyone who supported Craig's casting must be gay or paid off by EON :))

Where did I read how in the TLD PTS, the other 2 double-0 agents that were vanquished, represented George Lazenby (who was killed via severed rope) and other guy is Roger Moore? Done of course to communicate that there's a new and improved 007.

Then there's the anniversary dimension of DAD that contained obvious homages to the series, but some of the parallels drawn out by fans were too extraneous. I will not believe any of these things unless someone from EON actually confirms these things.

I believe I've rad or heard the two 00-agents in the TLD PTS were cast to look like Lazenby and Moore. I'm not sure were I get this from, but it might be the commentary or Helfenstein's book about the movie.

Hmm, it's interesting that it states in a few sites including IMDB that... "The casting of Frederick Warder and Glyn Baker as 004 and 002 was intentional, due to their resemblance to George Lazenby and Roger Moore, respectively." However, Helfenstein's book actually states how Warder, an actor, was brought in at the last minute because the stunt man he replaced could not act, so that nixes the intentionality of the writers.

If that's true they didn't do a very good job, because to me those two fellas don't really resemble Lazenby or Moore.

I think the Lazenby one really does, and the Moore look-a-like does from a distance.

If the codename theory was made canon, it would give some credibility to the 1967 Casino Royale spoof. Is that something anyone would want?

Have any stupid codename theory supporters come up with the theory that Bond is actually killed at the beginning of YOLT and is then replaced with another man using the codename James Bond? It's obviously not the case, but it sounds like the kind of theory people would make up.

Please don't give them any ideas as they need little encouragement! The PTS of Skyfall comes to mind too in this regard too. :D

One theory--that I really think has some truth in it--is that by setting the PTS of GoldenEye "nine years ago" the producers were putting it in 1986, effectively saying the Timothy Dalton era (which began in 1987) never really happened.
