Most Bond movies (and I suppose really, movies in general) have a moment where you roll your eyes, wish something had been done differently, or flat out dislike it.
It's that 'take-you-out-of-the-moment' moment. The infamous slide whistle is a perfect example.
I was wondering which Bond movies you watch and purely enjoy from beginning to end without being interrupted by such a moment. Not 'perfect' films, I just mean the ones that YOU have zero 'take-you-out-of-the-moment' moments with.

We all know our gripes with certain films, but here I'd like to explore & discuss why what registers as a TYOOTM for some doesn't for others.

    For me it would be the Blofeld in Drag Scene for DAF, even though it suited the overall 'camp' Feel of the Film.

    The Spy Who Loved Me and License To Kill are two Films in the Series that don't really have any 'Rolling Eyes' Moments -{

    Obviously I agree with LTK, but TSWLM has the fish drop, and the 'treasures' line, and the Lawrence Of Arabia music among others. Clearly, none of that is a TYOOTM for you, eh AOS?

    Oh, I have a great deal of fun watching DAF. LALD & TMWTGG as well. I like silly sometimes. But with the exception of the four I listed above, I always hit a bump somewhere that I have to consciously ignore.

    To name a film that most people name flawless: FRWL, I would say I could have done without the silly waving away of the film, when Bond throws it in the water at the end of the movie.
    In TB, the rediciliously sped up rear projection in the Disco Volante at the climax scene completely takes me out of the movie everytime... SUCH a shame!

    Hmm oh yeah guess I just went on and saw the title of the thread and started posting minor things I could go with out.

    But, let's see I would say LTK, TLD, GF, SF, CR, GE and besides the minor thing I just said about FRWL, I to consider it to be quite perfect on the 'not getting you out of the story' front. But i'm sure if I gave this more thought in the movies I mentioned there are moments I could do without that i'm not thinking about at the moment :))

    The Rear Projection in TB was used in a lot of Films at the Time, and the Television Screen in YOLT has never really made me roll my Eyes. Although Bond being made to look Japanese would probably make some People role there Eyes :))

    Instead of naming films I don't have problems with, I think it's easier to list the stuff that I do roll my eyes at:

    DN - Car chase
    FRWL - Bond waving at the film
    GF - The way Bond throws Oddjob's hat (I take it Bond is not very good at frisbee)
    TB - Sped up footage
    YOLT - No one suspects Bond when he is in his disguise! I've seen Roger on American Dad in more convincing disguises!
    OHMSS - Some weird shots during the bobsled chase/using same footage and sped up footage during the cable car scenes
    DAF - The guy on fire in China.
    TMWTGG - The slide whistle. X-(
    TSWLM - Music when Bond is driving the van through the desert.
    MR - Gondala chase
    FYEO - The Margaret Thatcher scene
    AVTAK - Beach boys
    DAD - The rather awkward sex scene/ Windsurfing/ Invisible car/ Bad CGI/ Too many references
    QoS - Weird location titles
    CR67 - Every soul crushing minute of it
    NSNA - Bond massaging Domino

    As you can see, not a lot. I guess that means the films I have no problems with are LALD, TLD, LTK, GE, TND, TWINE, CR and SF.

    And I really hate Casino Royale 1967.

    I've never had it, but a lower level one (Oxycontin) was prescribed for my wisdom teeth extraction; it was REALLY hard not to feel very happy on that stuff. :))

    Being the VERY big Brosnan fan that I am I have to say that his movies do not do well in the TYOOTM test. His bad Superman flight to the plane in the PTS and Boris' freezing get my eyes a-rolling. His laugh & sending down the car back to Avis were facepalm worthy. And DAD, well, lots in that one. The cocoon suit in TWINE might have qualified had they not executed it so nicely with Sophie selling it so well.

    On watching "North by Northwest" by youngest daughter made plenty of jokes about the " Crappy"
    back projection in the car scenes etc. Did it annoy me ? Yes a little but it doesn't spoil my enjoyment
    of it. I still love the old Hitchcock movies. -{
