Don't know if anyone caught this but it's a wonderful permanent tribute to OHMSS...

It might be worth looking at a week in Interlaken. Not just the Schilthorn but the Monch and Eiger.

was there last year for my birthday. It really is a cool place, especially since they opend the Bond world.the original Blofeld coat pf arms and the original script are displayed there for instance. :)

I was just there this past July. To say that Piz Gloria is milking its Bond connection would be an understatement (Yes, I ordered the 007 burger !). A great thing for us Bond fans for sure. Also, the train station at Lauterbrauten still has the kiosk where the guy was reading the newspaper, and the ramp that the sleigh and VW traveled up. The building in the film that says "Berg" on the roof is the last gondola stop before summiting at Piz Gloria. I also made a point to do the Top of Europe train journey through the Eiger to the Jungfrau station. I would suggest two days for doing both things....One day for Piz Gloria, and then the next day for the Eiger. Trying to fit both in one day would be very difficult. Be sure to book your tickets for the Jungfrau early. It can sell out quickly. The Bernese Oberland as a whole is spectacular. There are many vertical rock faces that are thousands of feet high, and these rock faces breed awesome waterfalls. I've never seen so many impressive waterfalls in one place.

Doesn't it still say "Birg" anymore?

Yes, you're correct...If you could just find a place in your heart to forgive me for using a wrong vowel in my description of my visit it would be greatly appreciated!

Oh, we mutually share our passion for that place.
I've just wondered if they'd renamed it since I have been there {[]
