Hi all, just seen this on the reiss menswear site, under their new season stock.

    Looked at in Reiss Newcastle. Nice quality and very nice fit... Had my JV on and the chap knew of its Spectre role...

    Yes, I mentioned this one a while back, I have it too and totally agree on the quality. I prefer it to the JV looks-wise, but thats obviously personal preference.

    That Boss jacket looks really nice, very tempted but googling throws up (literally!) this image which doesn't do it any favours:

    That said I wouldn't be wearing it with a business shirt and jeans pulled up Simon Cowell style!

    Here are some pics to give you a quick impression of both jackets.
    I had to use artificial light (its midnight here in germany) so the colours are way off, but tomorrow i can take some better ones.

    JV is left, HB right side.
    i know the first pic is totally off but its just for showing the lenght of the jackets.
    The JV is size S and on me it have a snug fitting, HB is 48 and is a bit wider and have a more relaxing apperance.

    Thanks for that PPK, I took the plunge and ordered the Boss one yesterday.
    Signature menswear offered free shipping so went for them.
    I see Boss also do a beige version that is around £330 in the sales and looks quite similar to the Morocco jacket (and much nicer than the Matchless one appearing today!)

    So far the US website just lists size medium. Why am I not surprised the web pics pair the jacket with a turtleneck sweater? I may stop in at Zara next week to compare it to my JV.

    They had a similar one in...though...this one....I realise it's not the same, but it was well made and fitted very well - so hopefully it bodes well for the other one... -{

    The US website shows it isn't in any store near San Francisco. I guess It hasn't reached the stores yet.

    Yeah, the Zara is pig leather, so its different than suede, but has a suede like quality to it. I hope they get some more in stock though because it is a damn good alternative for the price. Couldn't find it in stock in my neck of the woods either.

    The in store stock system seems fairly dreadful. They do have M's in London/Manchester/Birmingham. No other sizes showing for me.


    I should say in my experience pig and goat suede/leather are the opposite ends of the spectrum, goat being very light and thin with a much 'deeper' look. Though for that money one can hardly complain -{

    I'm sure Terry wears a very similar suede Harrington in one of the early seasons of Minder, pretty cool in my book :D

    I had a look at the Zara edition in store today. Pretty generic and wasn't too impressed with the quality. It's an okay quality / price mix, but I'd be waiting to see what other labels release in their Autumn collections (and what the 'inspired by' Bond designers offer). Overall the jacket is a pretty generic style and going to be readily available from quite a few places.
