for me ot's definitely FYEO. I always found it very weak and dull in comparison to others but in the last time I really learnt to like it...
As a matter of fact I'm watching it right now :)

    Was honestly going to say FYEO as well when I only read the title of this thread. I remember being younger and not liking it that much. As an adult I started to really like it and it grew to become one of my favorites! - I"m currently reading through the FYEO collection of short stories from Fleming, and it's so cool to see the movie is filled with all kinds of material thrown together that show up in the movie.

    QoS. It's constantly rising in my estimation.

    FYEO is a good candidate---and so needed after the excesses of TSWLM and MR: a good old-fashioned cold war thriller with all the requisite Bond trappings -{

    But ultimately, I think QoS wins this one for me. For many it will be OHMSS, but since that was my favourite Fleming novel, I was on board with that one from the first viewing :007)

    YOLT. About a year ago, I hated it, thought it was too slow with nothing much happening. Now, it's my third favourite Connery film, and DAD, which I now enjoy for it's silliness.

    CR-06 grew from a Bond film I really liked, to my definite favourite.

    However I would have to say DAD is the one that went from Cinema disappointment, to an enjoyable light jaunt on DVD.
    This is Thunderbird 2, how can I be of assistance?

    FYEO. The first few times I watched it, I enjoyed the action, but not much else. Now, I love the action AND the slower parts.

    TWINE I think. When I first saw it, and for a long while after that, I thought it was absolutely boring. I thought the movie had no personality whatsoever, and I had no desire to watch it again.

    But, over the years, I have grown to appreciate it more. And while it is not that high in my bond list still, it is A LOT higher than previously and I now quite like it and think it's the second best Brosnan film (Only just beating TND though). But speaking of TND... that's also another grower for me.

    FRWL.

    For the longest time I could not understand the hype it got, and why it was the favourite of many Bond fans.

    I tried watching it a few times when I was younger, and found it too slow and a bit dull, so I never really got further than the first half.

    Now I love it, and it sits in my top 10.

    For Your Eyes Only and The Living Daylights. When I first saw them both in 2009, I liked neither of them that much. Now, I can't ever get them out of my top three along with OHMSS. In fact it's the realistic, basic Bond that I appreciate the most.

    Bond films don't grow on me for no reason. Usually it's a result of reading the novels, traveling to a 007 location, or visiting AJB to get other fans insight.

    The 007 films that have seen increased popularity with me lately are:

    QoS: I never hated this movie like most fans! I have come to really appreciate Craig's performance as the closest I have yet seen to Fleming's Bond. (The way I imagine him anyway) Easily my favorite of the DC era so far.

    DAD: Enjoyed this one in the theatre and then later dismissed it completely as the worst ever Bond film. Now I like the first hour immensely and can appreciate certain parts of the second half - namely the ice palace and the car chase.

    TMWTGG: Great to see Roger as such a hard-edged cruel Bond. Much like DAD, a very solid first half and a very mixed second half. I am becoming more forgiving lately…

    TND: Used to think of it as a significant drop in quality over the masterpiece Goldeneye. Now, the tables have turned and TND feels like the better film.
    My current 10 favorite:

    1. GE 2. MR 3. OP 4. TMWTGG 5. TSWLM 6. TND 7. TWINE 8.DN 9. GF 10. AVTAK

    All the Moore films. A while ago I wrote a whole topic about how I used to be a real Moore-hater until I came to appreciate his tenure in the series for what it is. Moore is still my "least favorite" Bond, but ebery once in awhile it's nice to take a break from the darker tone of Dalton and Craig and groove on the fun, humor, and camp of the Moore films. And Roger Moore deserves a huge amount of credit for making the role completely his own after Connery.

    He does deserve credit for that, after Lazenby tried to pretty much imitate Connery with mixed results and reviews.

    Moore decided to try and make it his own, and go in a different direction. I always admired Roger for the way he did that, it was a bold move and I think he succeeded splendidly -{

    I also love the way that he has never taken the whole thing too seriously, and is genuinely honoured to have been a part of it :)

    You're giving too much credit to Moore. I don't think he decided to go in any direction since he just played Bond in a very natural way. He neither tried to copy Connery nor tried to make Bond different from Connery. His Bond was just like his Simon Templar and Brett Sinclair characters. Moore just played the same character he always plays. I don't mean to criticise him, because Moore is my favourite Bond. Credit should go more to the writers since the character was written differently than Moore's characters.

    I agree. Using that logic, the same criticism should go towards the writers/producers etc. who tried to make Lazenby like Connery.

    I don't think Moore would've come up with the decision in LALD to order bourbon not a martini. -{

    Same here. I used to despise YOLT, thought it was dumb and bloated, and I didn’t like Pleasence as Blofeld. But now I’d say it’s the most fun and watchable entry in the series, and Donald Pleasence’s eerie calmness has wormed its way into my good graces.

    Furthermore, Tiger Tanaka may just be the coolest “local contact” character of any Bond flick, and the setting and locations are phenomenal. Bond in Japan? How can you not love that? I’d put it my top 5 Bond films.

    As for DAD, I enjoy it in a “so bad it’s good” way, much like MR.

    On Her Majesty's Secret Service. It was the one that nobody watched when shown on TV in the 70s -- a joke. As I got older, I appreciated it more, in part because it is not a juvenile film, as some of the Bonds are.
