What do you think should happen when Craig leaves the role?
I think they should finish this story arc with Craig, and then give the series a 'soft reboot'. So, the next Bond will not be the same Bond as Craig, it will be a new timeline. And from there, we go back to the film's being like classic Connery Bond, with plenty of girls, gadgets and iconic villains.

Having said this, the important aspect of bringing in a new Bond actor is that he needs to differentiate himself from his immediate predecessor. This is a major reason why I think Craig needs to do one more BF, as he broke with himself in SP, and it will be much harder for a new actor to do something different.
I guess "soft reboot" is an appropiate term for what they should do with the new actor. The new actor needs to be a different kind of Bond from his predecessor, so there's no point for me in adhering to the story arc of the Craig Era.
Maybe keep Fiennes as M and Wishaw as Q. Dunno about keeping Harris as Moneypenny.

Bond actors to be re-ranked later
Historically speaking, the last film of a Bond actor hasn't been that great relatively speaking - Connery (DAF unless he had retired after YOLT), Moore (AVTAK. I heard that he wanted to quit after MR and then FYEO), and Brosnan (DAD). Dalton and Lazenby have a small sample. So EON will have to be careful with Craig's 5th (mostly likely his last) installment
Whichever option EOP picks, it should continue with Fiennes as M, Wishaw as Q and Harris as Moneypenny. Having them will give a settled look to the new Bond film. If they have to be replaced, they can be phased out slowly
Oh and of course bring back Pierce Brosnan
Agree with the sentiments. Though made a few corrections
Brosnan can be brought back if EON is hoping to do a Niven's like CR where Bond is forced out of retirement
Yes, since Craig has been moving in the direction of camp, introducing a more lighthearted successor (like Brosnan or Moore) to the role would be less of a radical shift.

I mean, SP hasn't even left theaters yet.
Critical and commercial reception is crucial, although I don't think SP will make as much money as SF did.
