All good here chief. One thing you can rely on in the UK is that not much happens. Even when we vote to leave Europe, it may be years before it ever happens and may never happen at all. Its just business as usual for me. Might put ten pence on a bag of crisps or devalue my house by a couple of quid but in the grand scope of things, who cares. Life was good before and its still good now. Keep well across the pond.

Have you not seen the riders of the apocalypse in the sky yet tp?
    In all seriousness, if anything this vote enables us to make truly global associations, embrace not only Europe but the members of the commonwealth and our cousins in the states -{
But as boffer says, it's pretty much business as usual here.

As far as I'm concerned here in the U.S., our interest rates just went down and it became cheaper to travel to the UK so... thanks? :007)

The way I look at it, we once left the UK and things turned out fine, although there are days I think we should beg to be let back in :#

    All,

I know this is primarily a UK site, and without getting into any politics at all,........

Forgive me, but you just did, and you brought it into the one place I thought I could escape all this Brexit bullshit.

Bremain or Brexit, when you boil it down it's quite clear to see that the fact of the matter is that whoever coined those phrases needs capping with a bolt gun.

    What's next? Dutchxit? Frexit? euxit?

And I thought the British loved these terms. I'm glad that Americans don't make up terms like these too often, but when they do they're much worse. For a while there was talk of a North American currency called the "Amero". Is that short for "Ameroca"?

So you apparently were watching neither the NYSE nor FTSE or have any investments in the UK. Some of us in the US took a pretty major hit.

I believe those go with Frape, Mocha, Espresso and Latte. Also American invented phrases!

Yes, stock prices took a major hit, but I didn't say anything about stock prices, I said interest rates, which incidentally has nothing to do with the NYSE or FTSE...

Merely pointing out there was more to it than lowered interest and cheaper vacations.

I had zero intention by my original post to say there wasn't more to it and that everything was rosy, but enough said...

It's been repeated lately on the news shows here in the US that often what happens in Britain is a preview of what will happen here. . .so you're not the only ones holding your collective breath!

Rather like if I were to time travel back to summer of 97 and be stuck there I think the main gripe would be 'Lordy, not months nay years of discussion about Princess Diana...' Now we're going to have months nay years of discussion about the referendum fall out.

It does feel odd here actually, the extreme weather aint helping and it has been an odd year all round really, it's like we've been in perpetual mourning for various celebs since January, plus we have tragedies like Orlando and then the murdered MP Jo Cox, it's strange days indeed.

This could drag on awhile yet as you say...over two million people have signed a petition to have the referendum again ! :))
