Craig one of 50 men who understand women

Daniel Craig is number 11 on a list of Men who Really Understand Women in The Observer Woman section. Although the actual comment points out they don't really care if he does understand them, he just looks hot in his little blue swimming trunks. And there's a quote by Judi Dench that had me in stitches. Ma'm, you're a Dame of the British Empire. You should not be talking like that. :D

Fascinating---and hilarious---that the man who was roundly condemned as 'too ugly, too short and too blonde' to be James Bond should make a list like this...on grounds of pure sexual objectification...

And this might take more research...but has any other Bond actor had his ba-nahhh-nah praised by a Dame of the British Empire?!?!?

    You go, Danny Boy! :))

You also have to wonder why Craig was showing a Dame of the realm his "Monster" xD

Apparently it was accidental...Dench passing by Craigger's open trailer door whilst he was in the midst of a costume change...

Regardless, one must admire Dame Judi's earthiness ;%

If Craig understands women, he has solved the mystery which has been puzzling men since the beginning of time! He must tell us all he knows! :D

...But that's the beautiful vacuousness of this entire issue---Craigger understands diddley-squat, as far as any voters here have indicated: he's on the list because he looks good with his shirt off :v ...which begs a (semi-) serious question...is the ultimate desire 'understanding'---or merely a bit of fun...as embodied in the fleeting embrace of a 'bad boy' who'll not linger...?

If the measure of understanding is based on how well one looks without a shirt, then I must be extremely out of touch with the female population. :))

Sorry guys, false alarm. This mystery remains a cold case. The quest for answers continues... ;)

Sorry about that, of course :p

Next opportunity to solve this 'cold case': November '08 B-)

8-) I'm not quite sure what light that would shed on the mystery of womanhood, but please, don't get me started on that! :))

Judy Dench's quote is priceless. :D I have to say, it is worth Craig's being on the list just to read about Dench's thoughts on his body. :))
"He’s a man way out there in the blue, riding on a smile and a shoeshine. And when they start not smiling back—that’s an earthquake. and then you get yourself a couple of spots on your hat, and you’re finished. Nobody dast blame this man. A salesman is got to dream, boy. It comes with the territory." Death of a Salesman

What are these dames like? First we had Judi Dench talking about Daniel Craig's 'monster,' now here's a story about Helen Mirren referring to a Sky reporter as an 'F-ing Nutbag,' live on air. :D Whatever next? Maggie Smith bottling Russell Crowe in a barroom brawl?

They're women . . . not some idealized male version of someone's elderly aunts.

Er, I was being tongue-in-cheek. I live in Scotland, for f***s sake. I hear little old ladies swearing every day.

Sorry Fish1941, didn't mean to snap at you like that. I wasn't having a go at Dames Mirren and Dench. I find the honours sytem ridiculous; they're both down-to-earth women to and I suspect they find the titles they've been given a bit silly as well. Certain sections of the media in the UK (usually the Daily Mail) take such things very seriously and expect certain standards of behaviour. I was trying to mock that kind of outrage. I guess I didn't quite manage it. So let me be clear that I have no problem with women, be they elderly aunts or otherwise, admiring the bulge in Daniel Craig's swimming trunks. Nor do I have a problem with Helen Mirren swearing at dumbass reporters who ask her stupid questions. Apologies again for my initial reaction.
