Hey guys,

I stumbled across this article today and I'' fairly excited about it.

It sounds like the QoS video game will be exactly wht I had hoped for, in a similar style to nightfire the game will mostly be a FPS but it will combine TPS elements such as combat and performing tasks like climbing ladders etc.

    Some more info here: http://sarcasticgamer.com/wp/index.php/2008/06/ill-have-one-movie-game-shaken-not-stirred.html

The site has a couple of really nice screen shots of the digital version of Daniel Craig.

WOW WOW WOW, I am amazed by that first screen of Craig, i mean absolutely blown away! It took me a second to realise that that wasnt really him, but merely a videogame character. The second shot looks awesome as well, but it doeslt look as good (in terms of image quality, not the graphics) as the first. This game sure looks awesome.

The graphics resemble Craig quite well indeed. I'm looking forward to this game immensely, as the mysterious driving game Activision are doing.

Console manufacturers typically frown on user created mods, preferring instead to sell their own content for an additional fee. As such, I don't think you'll see much in the way of mods on the console versions. The PC version will probably be your best bet for user mods.

I'm also sure you'll be able to select and use different weapons throughout the course of each level in the game.

There's a new article and some pics on the QoS game over at IGN's Xbox 360 site. I'm sure the info given applies to all versions of the game.

Graphically it looks average at best when compared to other games using the same engine; hopefully they'll improve the visuals by the time of its release. I was also disappointed to read that the game will 100% first person action with 3rd person closeups (ala Rainbow 6)and no driving levels or any other types of game modes. No mention is made of what gadgets (if any) Bond will have either.

Nice to that Daniel Craig will not only be lending his likeness but his voice as well.

I like when video games based on movies do that, it really shows that most of the time the game publishers take pride in thier work and not make some piece of trash, that gamers will trade in after two days.

I wonder what kind of weapons and gadgets their will be in the game, I noticed the P99 along with a Colt 1911 clone and an H&K MP5 machine gun as well in some of the pictures.

I must say, this new game play footage has me enticed. The trailer did not sell me, but this does. It has an edgier Agent Under Fire vibe, which I like. I suspect it to be a good old fashioned piece of entertainment. The transition to first and third person looks to be done very well indeed. Cant wait for this.

The graphics certainly look stunning. Obviously, I have no idea of what the levels are going to be, but I hope that it;s more involved than just a 'run and shoot' experience. Any driving levels? Stealth levels? I'm assuming there are no gadgets to use.
  • sharpshootersharpshooter Posts: 164MI6 Agent
No driving levels are to be had in this game. Judging by these videos, it does look like stealth will play a major role. Storming out in the open with all guns blazing is risky, with the player being more prone to damage than before - and quickly dying if not finding cover. Health is replenished over time, too.

The September issue of Nintendo Power Magazine (on newsstands now has Sonic The Hedgehog on the cover.) has an excellent preview of the DS version.

I just picked up a copy last week, and was very pleased with the article. It sounds like Activision is giving the game the same attention it gives to the Spider-Man games. Meaning we are in for something special and not a cheap cash in like most movie based games.

There are also a few new pics and movies from the 360 version of QoS here; the PC and PS3 versions will probably look very similar:

Both gameplay videos impressed me. The graphics are sharp and, once again, the two viewpoints look to be handled very well. Craig's likeness is pretty spot on, too. And the fact they have secured all the voice talent from both CR and QoS is just incredible.

I am really looking forward to this game, possibly even more so than the film. It just seems fresh, energetic and fun.
