I wish you hadn't put that idea in my head Jarvio. I now can't stop thinking about John Major in a sauna trapped between Xenia's thighs. "No more foreplay". Oh God I can't finish my tea. :#

HHLOG - Hawke had already defeated Fraser in the Australian General Election in early '83, before OP was released; so Hawke was Prime Minister then. :D

No, although TND took place during Tony Blair's presidency I think you'll find that that would be more suited to John Major ejecting the "back-seat driver" Margaret Thatcher from the plane!

Major and Thatcher were both conservative though, so I see it more as Tony Blair ejecting John Major lol

The Prime Minister during each James Bond film's release varied over time. From the 1960s to the present, different leaders shaped the political landscape, adding layers of historical context to the iconic spy franchise.

    None of them deserved it.

That said, I see NTTD was released during Boris Johnson's tenure as PM.

To be fair fitting a Bond film in during Liz Truss's very brief premiership would have been no mean feat. Lettuces have lasted longer.
