Depends if he means the sa one or the limited Ed one with the awful 007 indices at 7oclock? I had that and never wore it so sold it, I just couldn't live with the 007 being on the dial

I mean the "sa" stainless steal (pun) version

I guess a question of taste I Love mine both the 007 and the grid face

It's all a matter of taste of course, having worn po's for a long time I just couldn't get used to that 007 indices so it never got much wrist time, as an object to hold and look at it works, but that's just me.

"James Bond" can wear these watches all he wants but doesn't change the fact that they are aesthetically crap. Ever since Spectre, things have gone bad.

I like all of DC's Bond' watches except for the Skyfall PO.

What exactly is it what you don´t like about the Skyfall PO? :D

Way too thick and I just prefer the overall aesthetics of the original Planet Ocean model.

In my local Omega boutique today to try on the new Omega Seamaster Diver 300m that has just arrived AND they confirmed to me (and very very adamant about it) that the watch pictured on the Omega website (at the beginning of this thread with Daniel Craiig in character as James Bond) WILL be the new Bond watch.

Now I know that we still have to take everything with a pinch of salt until officially announced however, as I mentioned the staff were adamant the Grey faced version with the blue rubber strap (pictured on me below) IS the new Bond watch and will be in the next film (if they ever get round to making it).

and the classic version I actually went there to try on:

What you might want to try is make a deal with them. You buy the grey one now, pay full price, but if it turns out that this is NOT the Bond watch, you get your money back and keep the watch. Let's see how adamant about it they are then.....

No chance that’s the watch. Sorry, but your sales associate was spinning a yarn.

I don't care if it is or not. I personally do not like it. The question is this... if it's not (and you seem VERY SURE). Why this picture?

I do find it an interesting question though...

Previously the Omega ads with D.C. in them have all been Bond related right? With Bond watches?

Well except the DeVille ad related to the Orbis charity that D.C. supports...

So isn’t it a valid question by Bond_James_Bond as to why this picture?

I think the Planet Ocean 2500 Series (First generation) is the best watch suitable for Bond....it's a very close look to the iconic Submariner.....we all know DC loves his vintage SM300 (165.024) to be exact and has been spotted wearing the non-spectre SM300 on Brown Leather NATO from time to time (that watch is a better choice for Bond 25)......The new Diver 300 is absolutely horrid....looks like a toy watch and no where close to the original that Brosnan wore , heck even Craig in 06 Co-Axial version.....Omega is just ruining there brand with these bulk clunky less classy looking watches now......I own the PO/AT 41.5/Vintage SM300 (165.024)/ Speed-master Moonwatch and have to say that those are certified classics!

Heck yeah... Love my Craig Casino Royale SMP. The new one, especially the grey dial is slowly warming up to me but I don't like the ugly conical helium valve.

    Thanks for sharing, David!

Looks like Omega might be positioning the Diver 300 to return in Bond 25....going to be interesting to see what exact model/color scheme they go with....I wonder if they will stick to NATO's or Bracelet if the Diver 300 returns.

I reckon this will be the production watch and his second will be a LE version (two watches per film seems to be the norm these days). If it were they would sell a bucket load of them as they did both the original SMP and CR upgrade, so pretty smart move and real’s in both the old and younger generation with some nostalgia (well if Aston can do it with the DB5 why not Omega).

NATO seems to be DC’s input as he wears them all the time. Though I see Omega pushing NATO’s on their website everytime you visit so I wonder how they are selling in general.

Had a thought when we spotted DC in a Tux earlier in the year I wonder if it was for this shoot?

Either way whatever he wears we will be buying it but I am holding off this time SF cost me a blue P.O. due to rumours and he wore a Black Ti and AT matching his eyes (yes I added 2+2 and got 5) and for SP I nearly bought the AT at a Omega Bond promo event and production 300, saved my arse by 24 hrs when they announced the SP SM 300 LE with literally hours to spare!

    All good fun

    Cheers :007)

You're probably right on the money with that. I won't be buying any of the watches from the new film, I love my old smp and don't love the new smps though I understand why omega have gone in that direction given how popular U-boat, Bell and Ross, Richard miglia are. My omega collection is at a full stop, I have everything I want.
I actually did buy the standard sm300 coax and an omega nato to put it on, then bought the sp le version as well 8-)
I've moved onto panerai for something a bit different and I'm looking at expanding that collection.

Im intrigued to see if he drops Omega when he wraps up Bond / Ambassador duties.
Clearly likes his “other brand” watches and presume contracted not to wear em!

Well, I passed by Omega's boutique in Vegas recently also to check out the new Seamaster. However the people there mentioned that the upcoming watch could be a PO deep blue inspired which sounded very unexpected to me. I think they're most likely featuring two watches again probably a Seamaster and Planet Ocean?

Don’t listen to anything AD,snand boutique staff have to say. They haven’t a clue and won’t for months yet.

Parallels again Chris, I have been feeling the same recently when it comes to Omega I am kinda happy with my lot. Would have to be something special in the next film I think for me to part with my hard earnt. I got the SPECTRE LE because it was a steel at the time and too good to pass up, but does not get half as much wear as my collection of PO’s. Nothing recent from Omega has had me reaching for my wallet.

Strangely the Blue Brietling Super Ocean Heritage on a mesh has been really singing to me along with the Hamilton Field mechanical - maybe my Omega days are coming to a close.

    Time will tell I guess

That brietling is a fantastic looking watch! And also a band brand.
I've been collecting omegas now for over 20 years, my affiliation with the brand doesn't come from Bond persay but Bond has influenced my purchases but there are still some omegas I will possibly add to my collection eventually, like the ploproff on a mesh strap. But like I say as it stands I've no interest in the current stuff.
Like you my spectre le sees very little wrist time these days, even the planet oceans havnt been worn a lot as I tend to reach straight for my Panerai ceramic on calf skin strap that I've just fixed. But as always my mood will change and the omegas will get worn and even those that don't often I'm happy to have as part of my collection.
