Just took this screen grab of their website. In stock, and still showing old bracelet 8-)

That’s insane. Omega have them in stock constantly. The fact that you’ve been waiting for sol long surely points to what a few of us speculated a year or so back now, that Omega are indeed holding them back to create false lead times.

Just a thought...I wonder if they (Omega) had been testing and had sussed that there was a potential problem with the original bracelet? If they did and decided to stop production until they'd worked out a 'Plan B', it may explain some of the 'lack of stock' - I mean, they did seem to have a replacement out very quickly.

Though I am sure the continued delay of the film release will have played a part, in hindsight, they're probably delighted they have changed the bracelet before the big push on release of the film.
    Yes. Considerably.

Up to a few weeks back they were still shipping the old bracelet though. A friend of mine got the old bracelet around three weeks back. And I saw the watch in the window of agents mid October with the old bracelet too.

There are a lot of people that have been buying this watch from January/February. I’ve not seen anything about other people’s bracelet coming apart since seeing that post on the Omega forums.

Evening all , I'm afraid I also have to agree with Higgins on this . That strap/ bracelet just looks all wrong. I have had many Omega watches over the years ( I change / upgrade every few years)
I have a Seamaster at the moment , along with an Aqua Terra & was looking at getting another Omega as an Xmas pezzie for myself, but may look at something else now instead

You had me go check - and it's available on the US site right now too! What is even the point of the AD?

That's fair - - at that price range, a major structural/aesthetic issue shouldn't be coming up.

I have to agree with Higgins on this, too. I cannot stand it and don’t understand what they did with the bracelet, especially in combination with the shape of the lugs. I came to the conclusion to put my name on a waiting list for a Tudor BB58 instead. The BB58 - at least for me personally - is such a nice looking watch, costs only around 3,000 Euro and in a way is also a great reinterpretation of Rolex’ Submariner 6538 which we saw on Sean Connery’s wrist.

Went to visit the boutique in San Antonio on Monday. Nary a Bond reference to be found, save for a copy of Blood, Sweat, & Bond on display in the back. They had ONE NTTD Seamaster on the mesh in the back, reserved for a customer who has already paid. They did take it out to show someone else, so when they were done, I walked over and asked to see it as well. Original bracelet.

I had asked last Thursday if they had any of the NTTD Omega Lifetime magazines and they said they did. Well, no more by the time I made it there. They don't expect to get any more until maybe the movie comes out.

I wound up upgrading my clasp on my ceramic Seamaster to a micro adjustable one, but after working on it for over an hour, the sales associates could not get one side to attach and I had to leave it there for the tech to work on yesterday. The bracelet arrived at my home today, but I haven't been there to inspect it yet.

Had a massive box delivered today, thought it was an Amazon order until the Amazon order just turned up. Opened it to find two bottles of Bollinger in there, which confused me, but digging around deeper through the packing peanuts, I find Omega branded candles, key ring, and spare nato and repair kit. It’s been six months since I last heard off them with my complaint, and there’s no covering letter, just a Christmas card. The Bollinger is even their old Omega branded bottles, which is cool.

It’s just odd, that they all of a sudden decide to do that with no covering letter or explanation. I’m exceptionally happy and surprised. But surely if they had put that much effort into it six months back, then they could have saved themselves some bad publicity and cheered me up after they’d upset me. Either way. HUZZAH!!!!!

I ordered the NTTD Omega directly from the Omega site about two months ago, but the only model listed for sale at the time was on the NATO strap. Since I really wanted the titanium, as well, I contacted the Swatch Spare Parts team and ordered just the bracelet. They told me it was on back order for 4-6 weeks (possibly due to the issues pointed out in this thread), but I just got shipping confirmation today that it should be here this weekend.

Anyway, in case anyone was looking to pick up a (probably V2) titanium bracelet, they seem to be in stock at the moment.

What price did you pay for the bracelet, if you don't mind my asking?

It was $1400 plus tax and $10 shipping. A hefty price tag, for sure, but according to the OB - if you want both straps, it’s cheaper (by a little) to buy the watch on NATO and then add the titanium rather than the other way around.

I received my NTTD omega just before Christmas and the watch has the V2 mesh .
I believe that going forward, all the watches will have the V2 bracelet.
I of course would prefer an SA model, but i dont want to take the risk of losing the watch.

I have noticed that the AD I purchased my NTTD 300M from has it listed again on their site. They used to have a line in the product description saying that discount codes could not be used on the watch, it has been removed so maybe Omega are easing on the "no discount" message they seemed to adopt when it was first released.

Anyone with the V1 bracelet potentially interested in swapping for V2?

I'm so curious about how these delays are affecting Omega's sales of the NTTD Seamaster. I have seen a few on the secondhand market but no appreciable drop in price.
  • CheverianCheverian Posts: 1,091MI6 Agent

Others who follow the industry might have better information, but my sense is that the NTTD Seamaster is holding its value pretty well. Even secondhand watches seem to be going for close to the MSRP.

I think it’s mostly down to sales being relatively low, and there not being that many out there. Once the film has been out for a few months and they have sold thousands of them, the more you’ll see them on the second hand market. And once that happens, the prices will start dropping.

I’d be interested if anyone has a V1 Bracelet to sell and would cover the costs of a replacement version 2.
