I’d like to offer an apology to the above member.
My reasons for banning him were valid at the time - around 8 accounts all registered within a few days of each other…all this came to light whilst trying to track down bogus accounts…NTFP gave me an explanation and several other members came forward to vouch for him.
I thought he could have been another Mr.E account - I was wrong.

Cocked up when joining it seems. It wasn’t a deliberate thing like MrE and his duplicate accounts in different names that have all been registered at different times.
So…when I signed up I tried to use my normal Gmail and I couldn’t get the confirmation email. I was really excited to find this forum *somehow I had missed it over the years* and had recently gotten into collecting Bond clothing so I was frustrated when I couldn’t get it and kept trying with different accounts and emails. Then one worked and got deleted a few days later so I finally made a Yahoo email and everything has worked great since then haha.
Nothing nefarious I assure you! I’ve been above board and honest with everyone on here and managed to make some great purchases and met really great people. Sir Miles was fully right to suspect something considering I unknowingly defended MrE In the polo thread * I was excited for a chance to get a QoS one* without realizing the history of the controversy there and his shadow accounts too so I definitely understand why it looked fishy. Very very bad timing on my part, haha.

Yes I had the same problem on another forum: they're really terrible at sending the confirmation email through! I got onto it eventually, but I see that my first attempt is still awaiting validation and I think it was nearly ten years ago 😊
There's also a thread on that forum which bemoans the dwindling membership- it's because they don't let anyone in! 🤣
