Skyfall PTI Jacket Interest?

tsholdtshold TorontoPosts: 192MI6 Agent

Hi all,

I am in the early stages of working with a manufacturer on creating a Skyfall PTI Jacket. I was just wondering what people's interest level would be for this and what you think might be a good number to price it at? Before I pre-order a bunch I need to make sure the numbers make sense.

Our goal is to make it as screen accurate as possible using the same cut and fabric from the film. I will post samples when they become available to me. Below is the initial mockup. Really looking forward to hearing what you think. You can check out other items from our store at https://sistraininggear.com

I'd be very interested. Only comment I have is that the logo be just a bit more screen accurate.

I think the lion/unicorn on either side should be just a bit closer to the shield. You can really see the difference if you look at the placement of the paw/hoof at the top of the shield from the screenshot. Other than that small correction this looks great!

Good idea, I think someone on the forum owns the Screen Used one made by Puma- your initial mock up also has the incorrect collar - the real one, as per the British army PTI jacket it was taken from doesn't have a coat at all, and has binding around the top neck, wear the collar joins the body of the jacket on your initial mock up. Would be great to get a decent one

Thanks for the feedback! We're going to tweak the logo a bit and definitely shorten the collar. I'll post sample photos when I get them from my manufacturer.

Yes I have it and will try do a SA run as a future project but my hands are currently full with a couple of other things at present.

Would be cool to sell as both on it's own and as part of a screen accurate bundle with the long sleeve and sweatpants. I'd buy either way.

We just got our 1st sample of the Skyfall PTI Jacket we're working on - what do you guys think? Anything we can do to make it better?

Looks good, I think this is the SU one that @jared_nomak now owns, and accepting the light might not be helping, the colour is clearly different.

The bottom hem and neck binding look a bit different too, and from my memory of my old army PTI's, their jackets were less 'boxy', and more like a blouson, so I wonder if the body is more tapered?

Neck binding looks like it needs to be a third narrower

The zip pull needs to be the small annoying triangular one too, not a tear-drop tab style (to match the chest pocket)

Chest pocket zip needs to be orientated other way round, so closed position is more centre body than outside arm.

Logo needs to be a bit smaller and lower

That's great feedback! We have noted those and sent them to our manufacturer - we acutally used those photos of the original tracksuit to try and replicate it as closely as possible.

    I've always wondered....

I know the whole thing is a custom tracksuit that was made with Daniel Craig's input, but I can't help but feel that the pants are just regular T7 Puma pants with the stitching in the front?

    Yes. Consssssiderably.

Here is a look at the updated jacket, pants and shirt. The samples are being shipped to me now for review and then we'll start the process of making them available for order.

wow.. that full rig is looking very tidy now! I really like the pants, better than my old Ron Hill 'Ron-Jons'

what sort of $$ are we looking at for the full set?

  • tsholdtshold TorontoPosts: 192MI6 Agent

Still working on pricing but I'm thinking $79.99usd for the Jacket and $69.99usd for the pants + shipping.

We aren't going to to the shirt for the time being. I want to see how the Jacket and Pants sell first.

Just a comment on the pants' zippers.

They look much longer on the original model.

    Cheers

  • tsholdtshold TorontoPosts: 192MI6 Agent

Hopefully within the next month or so. I am working with my supplier to get all the details right before we put them into production. I want to make everything as screen accurate as possible.

    Just another thought.

If it is not too late, should the waist be a bit more tight ?

    Cheers

You're assuming some of us don't need some extra room at the gut I gather?
