Thank you for the information @chrisno1 I think I probably read the first one but didn’t continue (I tried to read the opening instalment to every series I had in stock, back in the day).
Yeah, well, sometimes nothin' can be a real cool hand.
I have no idea what those living monsters were - maybe some kind of Venus flytrap plant?

Regular readers of this thread will notice the change of title to Pulp Art and Vintage Stuff. I didn’t want to open yet another thread so I’ve added the vintage stuff line to accommodate those things that don’t fall under Pulp Art. These may be photographs etc. but all from what I’m calling the Vintage era - the 20th Century.

The THUNDERBALL picture is my favourite piece of Bond artwork of all. It encapsulates everything Bondian, Sean never looked as good before or after, and Bondmania was at it’s peak - if you weren’t there at the time it’s impossible to explain the impact that TB made on the world.

Yes, it was huge. Love the Matt Helm piece, though the "countless readers of the popular novels by Donald Hamilton" would be bewildered by what Hollywood had done to their hero.
I could read those old car ads all day. Don't know why, maybe they portray a never-never land where all is well.
The Elvis receipt is lovely. Top marks, except it's a fake. The real one is being auctioned at Sothebys this afternoon ... er, this one is well-known in the Elvis community. I believe @Revelator can back me on that.
The fake Elvis receipt - incredible the lengths that people will go to produce that sort of thing. Autographs must be the easiest to try and fake. I took several so-called autographed books to a specialist for verification when I was trading - a lot were deemed to be fake.
There’s plenty more car ads coming up!

The association being made between swinging [music, I assume] and bowling [the sport, the ten pin variety] is mystifying. Are they both euphemisms for you-know-what? I wonder what the music is like?

I have to agree…this is stunning artwork ๐ธ
I remember the Frankenstein monster masks being advertised too ๐
I don't recognise the 3rd guy in the drawing above V. Thanks as always for the old ads.

Uzi-toting nuns? That reminds me of David Dragonpol in John Gardner's Never Send Flowers. It was one of his disguises in one of the assassinations he carried out at the beginning of the novel. ๐
Also nice to see the Columbo artwork. Looks like the lieutenant is accompanied by Season 4 guest stars Robert Vaughan and George Hamilton.

Yes, it's not perhaps the best rendering of him. He does have the famous mole though so it must be him. Plus he's wearing the same suit and tie as he does in Columbo: A Deadly State of Mind (1975):

I'm intrigued by the 2 living monsters claim. Nice pic of Lon and Evelyn.

I recognised him as George Hamilton immediately I saw the picture. I was hoping someone else was going to name him to confirm!
He was great in that episode and later returned in the ABC revival of Columbo in Caution: Murder Can Be Hazardous to Your Health (1991).

๐ Yup! Some interesting choices there. I liked the two Dames at the end.
Yes, the two Dames photo is particularly good, and I’m sure Sir Miles will appreciate some of the magazine covers ๐
Adverts of yesteryear were certainly much classier and more elegant than they are today. It's sad to see the state of the decline in this field.
Indeed I do ๐คญ I’m trying to get a subscription to Nifty Nylons - especially at $1.25 an issue ๐
I totally agree @Silhouette Man
