The incidental music during scenes such as this opening robbery is an unfortunate omission off the soundtrack album, which is largely loungey party music. I'm not sure if there are any expanded soundtrack releases out there.

    Not to my knowledge

That cartoon series meant that as a kid I got to listen to the Mancini theme once a week at Saturday tea-time till it was indelibly implanted in my brain, back to back with the 'spy style' theme to 'A Shot In The Dark'.

Capucine is a lovely looking lady. The inspector did well.

It took me a long time to pronounce "Capucine" correctly! 🤔

Edit- when I was a boy I said "Cappusseene" rather than "Capuchinay"

Capucine looks so 60s in her disguise for the liaison with the fence.

The globe gag is a standout moment, which is also memorably reworked in A Shot in the Dark.

Enjoyable ski action in this film...although not quite up to Willy Bogner levels of extraordinariness.

David Niven, smoother than snow falling off ice.

I wonder how they managed to set up those fireplaces on those sets!

That instrumental of 'Meglio Stasera' makes such a cool, upbeat soundtrack for the Cortina skiiing.

Claudia Cardinale is gorgeous but for me the Princess character is something of a cold fish.

The times when the ladies wore fur hats when skiing.

The moment where Niven sees the 'Kidnap tomorrow' message in his bathroom cabinet reminds me of the scene in FYEO where Moore sees the message on his bathroom mirror. Both set in Cortina of course.

I am so looking forward to the blanket scene! Cracks me up everytime!

To the extent that Niven's 'gentleman thief' is akin to 007 at certain points, it's Moore's Bond that he's most like.
