The moment where Niven sees the 'Kidnap tomorrow' message in his bathroom cabinet reminds me of the scene in FYEO where Moore sees the message on his bathroom mirror. Both set in Cortina of course.
Sellers obviously makes this movie what it is. Little details in his performance, like when he inadvertently scratches the prefect of police's nose are so great.
I like the way in which Sellers gives Clouseau his French accent but without - in this movie - sending up that accent, as he does later in the franchise.
Critics and material I don't need. I haven't changed my act in 50 years.
The way in which Dala humiliates Sir Charles over dinner, questioning his manhood, and the way in which Niven deftly parries the insult before curtly making his excuses... it's almost Flemingesque... Reminds me of Craig's first scene with Eva Green in CR, or Moore and Scaramanga over lunch.

Some fake snow, the real stuff comes later!
Dalton - the weak and weepy Bond!
Claudia Cardinale is gorgeous but for me the Princess character is something of a cold fish.

Or is that Dink‘s mink?

I am so looking forward to the blanket scene! Cracks me up everytime!

To the extent that Niven's 'gentleman thief' is akin to 007 at certain points, it's Moore's Bond that he's most like.
Timestamp: Mrs. Clouseau opens the connecting door

Mancini has a lot to do with keeping the bedroom scenes jaunty and amusing.
I dare to say, that with Ustinov, it would have been only one movie
Dalton - the weak and weepy Bond!
imo Cardinale looks a bit too old for a virgin princess

I agree.

Here he's about the same age that Moore was in FYEO, Connery in NSNA, and Craig is now.
Niven‘s facial expressions very similar to Moore ❤️

But looks significantly older than Moore and Craig

The scene in TSWLM when Anya falls asleep in the back of the van and wakes up to find herself on Bond's shoulder, Moore's mannerisms are 100% Niven.
Just before someone asks: I can‘t id the watch

Though he didn't change much for the next 10 or so years.

I also try to tame Mrs. Higgins by playing a violin - never works 🤣🤣

Yes, and sometimes too much
I love how the bed scene is framed with only the foot of the bed in shot.
You're lucky- I play double bass!!!
Later, the just opened door hits Sellers in the back. Always cracks me up!
Dalton - the weak and weepy Bond!
cold feet, if you know how it is, you are married 🤣🤣

Sellers' vocal reactions to Capucine's cold feet crack me up every time
