I have the QoS Planet Ocean 2201.50, and it's my daily wearer (or at least the most-worn watch in my collection). Personally I feel like it's the best iteration of the PO. I'm not sure it would be on my shopping list if I already owned a Submariner, though. One of the Aqua Terras would be my personal recommendation for you. I have always felt that the ATs don't get the love they deserve, but I know others here disagree vehemently.

The 2500 series are belters for sure.

Only problem is that I love having at least one watch on rubber hence I chose the XL Casino version. Of course the correct answer is to purchase both :) , however I have a Sub so better not (for now)

I recently repurchased two DC watches:

    CR PO

    CR SM

    this joins my

SPECTRE / NTTD AT (prefer the size over Skyfall but miss the date surround)

    NTTD Seamaster

now need to find a minty Spectre Seamaster - a new grail (another one I sold!)

    Grails:

    TF Kazan coat from QoS

TF tie from Kazan scene in QoS (on order now, fingers crossed Lugi comes through)

    Omega Seamaster 2001.50 from QoS

    Regrets:

Missed a chance to pick up screen-used license plate from the Aston Martin DBS in CR

    Wins:

    Billy Reid Peacoat from Skyfall

Vesper's Sony Ericsson M600 phone from CR

TF black shawl collar cardigan from QoS

    TF Harrington jacket from QoS

After a two-year search, picked up a 2009 Aston Martin DBS very close in spec to the screen-used cars in QoS. Had custom replica Italian number plates made for it, which I install for car shows. Thankfully, mine still has the driver's door and lacks bullet holes. The screen-used cars were German market spec, model year 2009 cars with 2+0 seating, 6-speed manual gearboxes, and the B&O sound system, chassis numbers E00038 - E00045. Mine is North America spec, 2+0 seating, 6-speed manual, with B&O sound system, chassis number E00763.

That’s great advice, I Hadn’t really considered the A.T before but they are very elegant aren’t they?

Wow!! Huge congratulations on the Aston!! Gorgeous!! If you don’t mind me asking will this be a Sunday drive car or will you drive it frequently?

    Holy grails;

Gen 1 KPOS from spectre. Absolute hens teeth and only had one in my hands, the late and well missed Andy House’s, who I made the lasermic to fit on to it. Andy was willing to lend me it so I could draw it up in CAD to replicate it, but sadly we never got round to it and now it could be anywhere after Andy’s collection got sold off.

    Favourite DC era prop?

I have a stunt shotgun from the Miami airport chase scene where Bond is held at gunpoint by the airport police, and a production made ppk/s from the floating dragon Komodo dragon fight scene…. “Good luck with that”. Both came from very well regarded fellow collectors.

    Hi Matt, thanks!

I "rescued" the Aston from the previous owner a few years ago. He had done some modifications of questionable taste, so I restored it to original spec. The car is great to drive, but it is best enjoyed on twisty mountain roads, or long drives down the coast. Not as much fun to sit in stop and go traffic, worrying that somebody texting will run into it. I drive it mostly on the weekends, and on a few road trips.

When I take it out, most people have no idea what it is. It's not a bright red Ferrari, or Skittles-colored Lamborghini, so it doesn't draw too much attention. They just think it's a pretty car. Once in a while, someone will come up and ask questions about it, because they recognize it from the movies. The few times I've been approached by die-hard 007 fans, I've taken them for rides in it. It's fun to share with others who appreciate it as I do.

I found out there were only 2,534 DBS V12 coupes built. According to the AMOC Registrar of Cars, there were only 24 of this spec built worldwide, and only 8 imported into North America. No wonder it took me so long to find one! So I do drive it, but I also realize that if anything catastrophic were to happen to it, it would be very, very difficult to replace.

I just picked up a "Skyfall" Aqua Terra which had been on my Grail list for some time now. My DC Omega collection just needs the new NTTD titanium 300 now to be complete, so I guess that's my current Grail item.

I'm only after one watch from each film, so I've got the SMP 300 from "CR," the Planet Ocean from "QoS," the newly-acquired Aqua Terra from "Skyfall," and the "Spectre" LE 300.

    Kind regards,

    Craig

    Ohhhhhhh that is awesome!

I bought a 2012 DBS last year - and I absolutely love it and drive it regularly. I did go for the auto/tip gearbox as I just found the clutch on the manuals too heavy to consider if you found yourself stuck in traffic - which is a regular problem on English roads! ;-)

I've been fortunate with Craig/Bond purchases with different watches etc high on the list of prizes...but I never, ever thought I would get to own an Aston Martin DBS!!! :-)

    Yes. Considerably.

Here is one of my grails from the Daniel Craig era, found it on Etsy:

3D printed Walther PPK S with signature reading grips, the seller even included painting instructions, in case I want to paint it and put it on display with the rest of my collection at home.

Dping for that tie to be shipped. Feels like the standout tie of Craig’s tenure.
