I have purchased a Dunhill Sports Lighter with the view of modding to resemble the lighter grenade from TND.
The gold version was prohibitively expensive so I have the brass version and plan to gold plate it to match the on screen version.
I am then looking to add an LED to the windshield. The likelihood of having this working as a flashing LED are slim as hiding wiring and electronics would be very difficult but wondered if anyone had tried this and what size LED and housing used. The photos on jamesbondlifestyle suggest it is sat in either a black or metallic housing.

Realised on re-inspection that the LED is actually on the base and it is implied that the screw on the base primes it. I still think this would make the electronics difficult without destroying an otherwise expensive lighter.
