Has anyone tried to order this item yet and have it shipped to the US. If so what did you choose as your shipping choice? DG, what did you select?

This is the response I received when asking about shipping to Canada:

Thanks for your enquiry; the website has only gone live today. We will accept all international orders, there has been no confirmed rate for any
orders outside of the EU, but they will be of a similar rate as the Europe Small package £8. We will hopefully have an international delivery rate
added to the website within the next couple of days.

In the meantime if you wish to order the item today please put the order through with the European delivery option and we will dispatch the item to your chosen address.

Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have anymore questions

    Regards

I have never seen it before. What does the "GOOD THRU" mean?

Ok I get it now. It's definitely an American card.

One down one to go, am guessing the silver/platinum card in the equivalent of a Premier card in the UK? (Would I be correct s96024?). "Good Thro" means valid until I think!

The site explains what it is basically. It sounds like a credit card with loads of extra perks. I have heard of something similiar in the UK but I can't remember what it was called. You could ring them up and they would do/organize practically anything you wanted. Organize private jets e.t.c. May have been on a previous series of the apprentice actually. Yea Good Thru seems to be our equivalent of exp date.

I am sure that there must be something above "platinum" in terms of credit card hierarchy so I guess that may be what the black one is!
  • s96024s96024 Posts: 1,519MI6 Agent
I was thinking of Alan sugars Amsair.

Not quite the same. But still a concierge service.

Have you got pictures of the black one. I doubt it would be another crdit card. It's not like bond would have a limit.
  • VilliersVilliers Posts: 21MI6 Agent
I think that the black one may be whatever is above Gold and Platinum in credit card hierarchy! Not reaching those "heady" heights I could not confirm that.

I think the signature card is probably the best you can get. It could be a number of things. Maybe some sort of access card or something.
  • VilliersVilliers Posts: 21MI6 Agent
No photos but if you check the dvd it seems that he offers the receptionist at the hotel a black card, just before he admits to "dinging" the door of the DB5. The only photo I have seen is the one on this topic unfortunately.

I'll see if I can get a ss.
  • s96024s96024 Posts: 1,519MI6 Agent
Can't get any sort of decent shot. All I can see is the underneath of the card is very shiny all over.

The card s96024 posted is the exact same card, if you look close enough you will notice the card number is identical, most likely has the same expiration date too.

I dont have any concrete evidence but im 90% sure that the card he hands over in the bahamas in the American Express Black Card.

This one claiming to be from the movie just sold for $216 on eBay:

Someone is working on making replicas of these cards and I will post more details as soon as I have them.
  • VilliersVilliers Posts: 21MI6 Agent
Thanks for the info guys, trust one to be on eBay. I am guessing that Amex Black is an invitation only chargecard?
  • sruzgarsruzgar Welcome to ScotlandPosts: 1,468MI6 Agent
It sure is, you have to charge some ungodly amount every month to be eligable.

I will settle for a replica for my dislpay ;)

How does Bond have these cards? I mean, he must get them from the service, but you need to spend a ridiculously large amount to have an AmEx black.

The amount of flying/travelling, massive amounts of money on poker. All the champagne and caviar. He is taking Mi6 and us tax payers for a ride. ;)
