    They look all real to me as well, although i don't collect autographs but i happen to have original signed ones from every Bond except Dalton.
    Lazenby one looks bit odd, but as one collector stated before it's done in a hurry, looks rushed but it doesn't mean anything.
    Look at how Craig signs his signature nowadays, well obviously in a rush too LOL. Before CR was out he did sign his full name.
    Brozzer has always been the hardest one to identify, well for me at least as he's kept changing the style since Goldeneye.

    Like said before looks real to me and starting bid ain't that bad, i'd might go for it if i already wouldn't have near all of them.

    ps. There's been a lot of one post wonders here and people has right to have doubts, you just gotta deal with it. Don't take everything personally and i don't see accusations anywhere( Bondtoys smiley and MG's pic of a big fish don't count )LOL

    Hope the set gets good home.

    I for my part have strong doubts about the Connery signature.
    But I'll be the first to admit that I know nothing about autographs

    But as the seller says that getting all these autos was so difficult, why part with such a treasue for only 200 quid?

    Hi all bond fans!
    I need your help to judge this Ursula Andress autograph. Is it the real deal? Or is it maybe a fake? What do you think?

  • Hi Supinum!

    Im afraid that is not a genuine Ursula Andress.

    I found this autograph on a Dutch internet site. I was wondering if it is real because it looks nothing like the 2 I have of sir Roger (and I'm sure mine are real because I was there when Moore signed my 2 copies of My Word Is My Bond)

    Hi, just wondering what your opinions are of this Pierce Brosnan autograph. This guy seems to sell a lot of autographs and does have good feedback but it is ebay...........

  • Im afraid I would say that Brosnan is a fake.

    I have dealt with that ebay dealer before and I sent the item back (Esma Cannon Carry On autograph). He was happy to offer the refund.

    But as a general rule, I would only for UACC and AFTAL approved dealers while on ebay. You have to be careful, but feel free to ask on here anytime! -{

    All autographs look genuine to me apart from the Sean Connery, unless its an early vintage one, in which case it could be genuine. All others look fine to me though!

  • Hi all!

    It's been a long time since I last posted anything on here so I thought I would give an update on the last few months of additions to my collection :)

    Went to the Autographica show at the NEC in Birmingham and had the fortune of getting the following autographs:

    Corinne Cléry (Corinne Dufour in Moonraker)

    Lee Pfeiffer and Dave Worrall (007 book writers and heads of Cinema Retro magazine)

    I also had the pleasure of spending an afternoon chatting and getting autographs from Louis St. Juste who was one of the tribal dancers in the San Monique final ceremony in LALD. You can see him as the only one with his shirt off with a red bandana around his neck. An amazing man!!

    I was fortunate enough to go to the world premiere of Skyfall where I met Monty Norman (creator of the Bond theme tune) as well as non Bondstars Emili Sandé and footballer Brad Guzan.

    Finally I went last weekend to memorabilia UK and met the following:

    Roy Scammell (stuntman)

    Sylvana Henriques (opening credits fan girl in YOLT & as the Jamaican girl in OHMSS)

    Jean-Pierre Castaldi (private jet pilot in MR)

    Bill Cummings (a unique bond montage printout, he was a stunt man in at least 11 bond films but can be more remembered as Quist in TB. He sadly passed away about 10 years ago.)

    And finally Jeannine B. Madsen who was the erotic dancer in the club in LTK.

    Hope everyone is well and hopefully I will get the chance to update more often rather than writing such essays!!! :)

    Hi all. I've recently made some purchases from bondcollectibles and seem to find mixed feelings and opinions about them. I wondered if I post some pictures later today of the items I've bought would anyone be kind enough to give me their opinion on the authenticity of the signatures.

    They were all bought through ebay and are of Joseph Wiseman, Gerd Frobe, Sam Mendes and Christopher Lee.

  • Hi Dr.Nowt,

    Unfortunately it's always extremely hard to tell with bondcollectibles. My view is to stay well clear off his eBay sales (but that's just my opinion). I have caught him out selling several fakes and they were extremely good fakes, very hard to spot the difference.

    The question you have to ask yourself is, why would he sell so many rare autographs (every week) for a low price? They are also the same photo shots every week, mostly always signed in sharpie and in the same place on a photo and more importantly on the same type of photo paper, my guess would be that most of your photos from him are on Kodak Endura paper? The likeliness of all these to be genuine, is extremely low. Otherwise, these stars would be signing 24/7 for bondcollectibles! And I can tell you that people like Akiko Wakabayashi, Mie Hama and Joseph Wiseman signed very few pieces for him and because they ended up seeing their autographs being sold by him on the Internet, they were extremely offended and ended up refusing to sign anything for anyone through the post and in most cases in person.

    He sells Rik Van Nutter signed 8x10 bond photos every week and realistically there are probably a handful of bondshots ever signed by him. If he signed that easily when he was alive, every serious bond collector would have got him.

    I have got testimonials from several stars like Irka Bochenko who have seen the photos he sells and she has told me that they haven't been signed by her and she certainly didn't do a private signing with them. Same thing with Dolores Keator.

    So my opinion (and this is strictly my opinion, nothing to do with Ajb007) I would stay clear of the ones sold on eBay by him, if its too good to be true, it normally is!

    Sorry to be the bearer of negative news, they might be genuine but because its so hard to tell, I wouldn't be able to pass judgement, i can only give my thoughts on bondcollectibles in general.

    Hope this helps -{

    Many thanks for your honest opinion. I asked bondcollectibles to layaway my purchases with the intention of getting more and saving on postage. Instead I have contacted him requesting a full refund for these items. Unfortunately, you confirmed my worst fears!
  • Dr. NowtDr. Nowt Eastern EnglandPosts: 21MI6 Agent
    Well, I emailed bondcollectibles last night stating that as I could not fully satisfy myslef that the autographs were genuine I would like a refund. Without comment or question full refunds were received.
  • I am glad I could help Dr.Nowt,

    Its always very difficult when buying autographs because there is so much to be careful of, especially as I can guarantee that the scans that Bondcollectibles put up on their ebay sales are always slightly different to the actual item you receive.

    I am glad you got your money back. When buying autographs, try to make sure that they come from UACC registered dealers or AFTAL dealers who offer refunds with all the items they sell.
    If Bondcollectibles were that good at selling genuine autographs, they would be recognised and a member of an autograph dealer society, instead of which, they are only members MPA (I believe its called) which is a prop dealer society, therefore NOTHING to do with the sales of autographs.

    Good luck with your collecting and if we can be of any help, just message me or post something on this thread! -{

  • Just added two extremely rare autographs:

    Bill Nagy (I have waited a LONG time to add him!) He was the role of Midnight (One of the gang members at Auric's Ranch) in Goldfinger. He also later came back in You Only Live Twice as one of the Pentagon Officials.

    Tracy Reed (She can be seen in Casino Royale 1967) as the one of the girls operating the van with the homing exploding grouse (birds) who are trying to kill James Bond (David Niven) during the grouse shoot in Scotland. From what I can remember, she was the girl on the right hand side of the van.

    Extremely Happy with these :)

    In response to the growing number of fake signatures currently online, legendary actor Grand L. Bush ("Licence To Kill," "Die Hard," "Lethal Weapon," "Colors") has autographed a limited number of 8X10 glossy images in gold oil-based ink for his fans. At this time, there are only 50 of these rare sigatures left. Each signature is authenticated. To inquire, send an email to SharonBush@me.com.

    Hi all!

    I have been doing some thinking recently and it seems that a lot of collectors (including myself at one time) have been caught out by a fake autograph. It's a discussion which nearly always crops up when collecting and unless you have seen the celebrity sign it, you can never be 100% sure. Although there are several safe ways in which to purchase a genuine autograph for whoever you wish to add to your collection. Granted some are harder to find than others, sometimes I have waited for 8 years to add an autograph to my collection so prepare to be patient if your new to this! :))

    So I thought I would extend the guide started by Tillymasterson (who knows his stuff btw!! -{ ) and add some more advice when collecting some of the more major actors, actresses and crew members; many of whom are now deceased.

    First and foremost when buying an autograph, you must have PROVENANCE:

    The seller that you are buying from: Does he/she have a good track record amongst collectors? Is he prepared to answer your questions about the item you want? Can he give you a history of the item? And most importantly, does he offer an unconditional full REFUND if the item is not authentic and this is proved. If not, then you must ask yourself WHY!!?

    Also check if they belong to an autograph governing body. If they are UACC official DEALERS and NOT UACC COLLECTORS. That is very important! AFTAL dealers are also in the same league and are highly regarded!

    Next up: STUDY the autograph you want to buy and do your research! By that I mean, don't just take 5 minutes looking through google images, check with collectors and if you can find an autograph that has been certified by a major authentication company to compare it to. A good authentication company would be someone like PSA/DNA.

    A big myth with autographs is that vintage autographs must not be signed in sharpie, if they are, then they are fake. THIS IS FALSE!!! The permanent black sharpie marker was invented and distributed in 1964!!!! Another possibility is that the photo may be vintage but then signed at a later date. Again do your research and don't forget to ask questions!

    What type of photo is the autograph on? If the seller is selling you an autograph claiming to be Gert Frobe and it is on KODAK ENDURA paper, then you know its not real! And believe me, ive seen this (from a so-called major reputable dealer, although not a member of AFTAL or UACC). Endura Paper by Kodak was released in June 2002, in case anyone wanted to know. And if your unsure, call Kodak of FUJI directly and check with them when the paper was first released to the public!

    Ebay sales: Its apparent that numerous so called 007 autograph sellers who sell their items every day of every week, put up the same scans of the autographs week in and week out! How can this be possible? A seller who is too lazy to scan the ACTUAL item, must have something to hide. So if this happens to you, send it straight BACK for a refund!

    Album pages: If your buying an autograph on a piece of card or album page and the actor died 20 years ago, ask yourself: Does this card look brand new? Does it LOOK and SMELL old (I know that sounds weird but you can tell by smell!). All these are tests that you should carry out and if the autographs look new but yet signed in 1973, then its most definitely a fake not matter how good it looks!

    BEWARE of sellers on ebay selling the SAME autographs on the SAME photos EVERY week for a whole year. Imagine how many they are selling and imagine how many autographs that poor celebrity would have had to sign? They do have a life away from signing autographs and at public appearances they will sign 2 or 3 from the same person, NOT 20!! So if you see a seller saying something like this:

    ONE OFF SPECIAL, SIGNED IN PERSON AT ROYAL ALBERT HALL DIRECTLY FOR US BY JAVIER BARDEM AT SKYFALL PREMIERE!!

    And the seller has sold 30 of them in 3 weeks, you know what they are! Most likely FAKE.

    I hope this helps all a bit more with their autograph collecting.

    I will now post and discuss further about some of the most faked autographs on the market. Near enough all the scans are from my collection, so please feel free to ask me questions about any of them! :) -{

    I MUST STATE THAT ALL SCANS DISPLAYED WHICH ARE STIPULATED AS COMING FROM MY COLLECTION MAY NOT BE COPIED OR USED BY ANYONE ELSE. ANYONE WISHING TO SAVE A COPY OF ONE OR SEVERAL SCANS MUST CONTACT ME FIRST, MANY THANKS! -{
