    I always just assumed it was aluminum but I agree that it looks like it has a bit of wear and tear on it. I suppose it's anyone's guess as to how it was made. --Ed

    It looks tarnished, like maybe copper ? if it was oxidised aluminium it would be white, and I also take it that it wasn't that old when the photo was taken if it was a publicity still or shot taken at the same time frame.

    I've still got that magazine, along with several others. Wanted a GG sooo much when I saw it on the back. Didn't get one back then though. I wasn't aware there were issues with them though.
