    Awful and sad news. I was just texting with him about his 60th party the other day and to wake up to this just gutted me. Truly no words....

    Very sad day and very sad news.

    I was in touch with him one week ago and had to tell him that I won‘t come to his birthday party.
    His reply was typical Andy :
    >> ...I think we’re both big enough and ugly enough for this not to affect our friendship in any way...<<

    He loved the banter between Asp and me, he crazily loved my wife Cathy, I‘ll miss him dearly!

    Rest in peace, my friend!

    And only YOU can call me Higgy :#

    I'm lost for words right now. Sadly, I didn't know Andy as well as I could have. However, one thing I did know was that he was a kind and generous man. I showed a prop here once that was improvised and quite rough. I had not yet met Andy at this point, but he messaged me out of the blue, and was kind enough to point me in the right direction of the original source material. Basically, he put his trust in a stranger to help them out, and I will never forget that moment.

    Andy was one of the key prop makers here I looked up to; he lived up to his username time and again. I was always excited to see his next fantastic reveal. I'm proud to say that I have one of his amazing Playboy cards in my collection, and if it weren't for him, I would also not have the AVTAK tracker, which he was kind enough to share on this forum upon his identifying it. Had been anxiously waiting to see a special new project he was working on, and several times I was this close to messaging him as curiosity was getting the better of me! I regret not doing that now - not for the project of course - but just to call in and say hi. It is an honour to have been in contact with a true gentleman and talented Bond collector, may he Rest in Peace.

    I was VERY saddened to hear of the sudden passing of one of our “Brothers” in the AJB community the other day. I was asked not to post anything right away as private messages were being sent to notify his other close friends.

    Strangely enough, I actually thought of Andy that day and was going to email him later in the day before I got the message.
    Guess it was his way of saying “Goodbye”

    I “met” Andy House back in 2009 and although we never actually met, we corresponded through emails frequently and considered him a good friend.

    Andy (Gadget Meister) created some fabulous prop replicas that he shared with us and are “Jewels” in many of our collections.

    Condolences to his family and to his friends. He will be sorely missed by us all.
    Rest in Peace, my friend.

    RIP Andy. I only met him once on a London get together so can only echo what has been said by those who knew him well. He will be missed. The Bond community was a richer place because he was and indeed is a part of it. RIP -{

    Wow, what terrible news. Andy made a great impression on such a large number of members here and in the wider Bond community—this is a huge loss. While I’ve only been a member of AJB for a few years, I’m very happy that I can look back on a number of interactions I’ve had with him, even in that short time, that showcased his good nature, eagerness to help out others and of course his passion for Bond. A true gentlemen and he will be missed. RIP Andy -{

    Hi all,

    Like many I was extremely shocked on hearing that Andy has passed. It’s still hard to believe now. I remember the time he came up to see me to collect his Spectre LaserMic replica I made him. It fit first time to the KPOS stock he’d brought back from the states on one of his many travels to Vegas. We were both pleased, a job well done. Sadly of the 3 made I had to part with mine.

    Andy was always supportive and enthusiastic toward me and my work. The last time we spoke on Facebook messenger I thanked him for his advice and support. His reply was a very typical “ Anytime bud, always feel free to tap me up for any help you need.” And I know he meant it.

    I will miss him, he left us far too early.

    RIP mate,

    My dealings with Andy were minimal but he was very kind and helpful to a new member asking rookie questions and I always appreciated that about him. For those who knew him and considered him a friend, my condolences.

    I too am shocked to hear of Andy's passing. While I also never met him, I am one of many with whom he shared his knowledge and passion-not to mention his humor and fantastic replicas.

    I just learned of the passing of Andy, and never had the pleasure of meeting him in person. However, I did receive greetings, helpful information, and masterful drawings from him years ago. It say's much about a man that is willing to share his work without asking for anything in return. He set a high standard for us to follow. And with all of the excellent work on the forum, I respectfully considered him among the best of the best. What a considerate and passionate man. I could't find information on Andy on the internet, and am thankful the AJB brotherhood raised a glass to him. After reading your praises, I feel like I know him just a bit more. RIP Andy.
    Sincerely, George

    Just received this email and thought to post it here for anyone interested:

    Dear Friends of Andy House,

    There are a number of people that have already booked flights etc to Vegas which is actually quite fortuitous!!
    It was Andy’s wish, that some of his Ashes were to be scattered in Las Vegas, and having spoken with Jen, she thinks it would be appropriate to do this while some of his friends are in Las Vegas.

    Therefore Jen, Gav, Mark, myself and a number of others are planning to have a celebration on the weekend of 6th/7th June. The venue is to be finalised, and sadly it will not be the venue Andy had chosen for his 60th celebration, but will almost definitely involve a few of his favourite sites in Vegas, culminating at the Craps table in Circus Circus. Let’s hope Andy helps us with the dice this time!!

    If anyone would like to join us please can you RSVP to me so we have an idea of numbers.
    Kind Regards
    James Wilkinson

    Just seen all the notices, shocked,
    I had the pleasure of meeting Andy on a number of occasions in London and Beaulieu Motor museum over the years and corresponding about various props we have both been building. He was always friendly & generous with his resource information and will be missed for all his knowledge and enthusiasm within our online community. He created a great collection for himself which all would be proud to achieve. Sincere condolences go out to his family, before your time mate...
    i'll raise a glass this weekend and please post some pics of the June weekend.

    Cheers GM -{

    Hi everyone,

    I’ve been in touch with James and plan on going to Andy’s funeral on Friday.

    His partner Jen has requested no flowers, so I’ll be taking a card instead. I thought it might be nice for those who can’t make it to have their name added to the card.

    Andy obviously had a lot of friends from many different communities, so I thought it important that us bond fans are represented as well.

    If you’d like your name, or a message writing in the card, please let me know by emailing me. It might be an idea to include where in the world you are so Jen can see just how far Andy’s friendship reached.

    Cheers everyone,

    MG
