Odd that that is now his new name - I mean, I can't be sure, but I think Andrew Townie - who wrote a damning expose of Prince Andrew recently - also penned a bio of Lord Mountbatten in which he was alleged to have been a paedophile, I will check - the allegations were made in a highly credible book reviewed in the Times.

I can be prosecuted by the law like any commoner now. He had everything. Back in the 80's he was a war hero and he was the most popular member of the royal family. But he lost a lot of it by being a pr*ck. But let's not forget he gets a very nice house and a lot of pocket money from his brother and his new house is inside the security area around Sandringham. He can also keep his cars, clothes, gifts from dictators etc.
This hilarious review of the Bentley T2 reminds me of the time, when I went through the classic car phase. I really wanted to buy this 1997 Jaguar XJ6, but common sense prevailed in the end.
Scotland quality for the World Cup, first time since 1998.
But that wasn't what I was thinking when I tuned in for the last 10 mins or so and they were equal 2-2 with Denmark, needing to win to go through. They messed about, no real chance at this late stage in the 86 min and then - well you had to see it in real time to see how amazing it was, not least the referee letting the game play on when it really looked like Denmark were going to pull one back and you saw one Scottish player just kick it out despondently when he could have played it to his mate... and then, as the seconds were counting down and the Danish goalie was out of goal.... Amazing.
My reaction too. And if say the same if it was the Northern Ireland football team. I can't believe that was the lead story on BBC News at 10 last night! I think us three are part of the AJB Anti-Sports Club. 😊

Yes, I was thinking "If only you knew my obsession with Bond and spy thrillers" but it would've been too much to explain. It'd probably be a repeat of "There are James Bond books?!" which another female co-worker once said to me. It's still one of the most depressing things I've ever heard.

Am I the only AJBer to like football, and sport in general? I cannot imagine a life that doesn’t involve cheering a goal for my team or celebrating a gold medal win at the Olympics for a Brit etc.
Yeah, well, sometimes nothin' can be a real cool hand.
I'm sure there are other sports fans here but they do seem to be rather thin on the ground among what you might call the regular members who post nearly every day.

I think Andrew Mountbatten Windsor had it coming.

Andrew Albert Christian Edward Mountbatten Windsor to be exact. He's now a commoner like the rest of us. Oh, how the mighty fall.

Commander Bond's favorite meal cooked by French legend Jacques Pépin.
This with a nice cup of black coffee and 2 buttered toasts = heaven.
Sounds good, make that two please!

@Sonero I had an XJS, it was a beauty. The XJ6 was lovely too!
@CoolHandBond Indeed. Wonderful cars...

Not sure why but this pic was saved in my comment box and I can’t remove it!
And our Scottish @Barbel and Norwegian @Number24 friends have both qualified and don’t even care 😵💫 oh, and England too, and I do care 😁
Qualified? For what? Oh, right. 🥱

It's an honour!
Although I was once told by a female co-worker: "You don't like football?! You're not much of a man!" 🙃
Cruel and ignorant! 🤣

I suspect my grandfather never played football in his long life, and he is one of the manliest men I've ever known.
Yes, it's hardly the only barometer of masculinity but for some people you would think it was!
Also sexist, but we're not supposed to complain when it's that way around.

Don't worry, CHB. You're no less of a man in spite of this character flaw. 😉

Too true, @Barbel. It's OK when you're being sexist to a man but the other way around? Not so much.
Nope, you aren’t alone…even though I’ve moved to Canada I still watch all my teams games…plus I love boxing 😁
Rejoice! This year's Christmas Special is ready and the first part will be posted in one week on Sunday 30th of November.
